Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre is suffering from the fourth-stage of Metastatic cancer. The 43-year old actress is undergoing treatment in New York. The actress shared the sad news with her fans and followers in a social media message.

Sonali shared, “Sometimes when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with high-grade cancer that has metastasized, which we frankly did not see coming. A niggling pain led to some tests, which led to this unexpected diagnosis.”
The actress said she upon the advice of her doctors have started immediate treatment. Bendre appreciated the support she has received from her friends and family during her ordeal. An optimistic Sonali is determined to fight the battle till the end.
There is no better way to tackle this than to take swift and immediate action. As advised by my doctors, I am currently undergoing a course of treatment in New York. We remain optimistic and I am determined to fight every step of the way.”
“I’m taking this battle head-on, knowing I have the strength of my family and friends behind me,” said Sonali.

The shocking news has spread like a wildfire since yesterday. It was followed by messages of immense love, strength, and prayers from her colleagues in the Bollywood.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who was on vacations with his family in New York, dropped in to meet Sonali Bendre. He while talking to media said, “I know that Sonali is a fighter. May God help bring her back in the best of health.”
His message resonated with the messages of other Bollywood celebrities who called her a ‘true fighter’.
Anil Kapoor tweeted,”You are a fighter, always have been! Sending you all our love and support, Sonali Bendre. Hoping to see you fit and fine super soon”. Other actors including Aftab Shivdasani, Vivek Oberoi, and Karan Johar wished the actress speedy recovery.
Sonali Bendre was last seen in ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai’ in 2013 on the big screen. Since then the actress took several small screen projects.
