Azam Khan continues to receive flak as angry fans blasted the selectors for selecting the young cricketer for the T20 World Cup squad.
Considered a power-hitter in the T20 format, Azam Khan started off his World Cup innings with a duck. He got out without scoring a run. The frustrated fans denounced the selection of Azam Khan.
“They have disappointed so much today. Azam Khan has no place in the team, but they still include him. He doesn’t know fielding and he got out on the first ball,” said one of the spectators, while talking to Geo News.

Pakistan lost the match in the super-over against the USA as they could not score 19 runs. Playing first in the super-over, USA scored 18 runs at the loss of one wicket. Pakistan only scored 13 runs and hence lost by five runs.
Commenting on the game and fitness of Azam Khan, one of the sports analysts said: “Azam needs to self-introspect; his form and fitness are both extremely poor, and only one person can improve them: himself. If I am being honest, he is out of his depth at the international level; his coaches must also be honest with him.”
