The Bollywood-drug mafia nexus

Now, as per the recent report published in an Indian publication, a Mumbai-insider told Zee News that over 70% of Bollywood celebrities take drugs. The insider told Zee News that MD is the most common Bollywood celebrities while weed is more popular among TV actors. As per the informer, the code name for expensive weed is dubbies and the peddler has the code name AK 47. Blueberry and strawberry Kush are famous among rich people and are sold at Rs 5,000 per gram. The insider said the peddler in the upscale area of Mumbai provides intoxicants to the film fraternity.

He added that celebrities never come forward to buy drugs but send their drivers and staff to get the supply.

“People in the film world mostly buy drugs in large quantities,” stated the informer.

Kangana Ranaut’s explosive remarks

Meanwhile, vociferous and defiant Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut also confirmed the reports of rampant use of drugs in Bollywood.

In her recent interview with India’s firebrand anchor, Arnab Goswami, Kangana alleged that the character actor took advantage of her during her initial days in the Bollywood. She said the person got intimate with her after spiking her drink. She said after spiking her drink, he became her self-appointed husband. She went on to call Bollywood a gutter where drug use is a prevalent practice in parties.

“At some point, 99 percent of them. Some might have faced health conditions, or because of age, or after being admitted or having repercussions, they have quit now after doing it throughout their youth. Even if I count them, there are 99 percent of people. Everybody without fail, at some point, is doing it, and if there is a party, everyone is indulging in it,” Ranaut stated.

Kangana said that a top Bollywood celebrity was hospitalized after taking a heavy dose of drugs. She said drugs flow like water in Bollywood parties and industry insiders intoxicate newcomers with drugs from the beginning.

The same drug dealers supply drugs like cocaine, LSD, ecstasy, etc to them, she said. Everything is handled systematically. Their wives also host these parties. It is a different environment altogether. You will find people who only do drugs and indulge in debauchery in such parties,” Kangana said.

She alleged that many governments have helped this Bollywood-drug mafia nexus grow because these actors do campaigns for the politician hence even police also ignore the use of drugs by Bollywood actors. She even made explosive accusations that the wives of these Bollywood celebrities arrange drug parties.

These actors, their wives move to houses & do drugs, debauchery is unimaginable. I’ve seen how vulgar it becomes and things get out of control at these drug parties.”

The repugnant discourse on the Bollywood-drug mafia nexus has once again tainted the image of the world’s second-largest film industry and also that pitches a soft image of India worldwide. The constant attacks and revelation of dark secrets of Bollywood have upset its fans worldwide. Earlier debates of nepotism against meritocracy, power abuse, and exploitation surrounded the Bollywood.
