Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central Information Secretary Fawad Chaudhry on Monday, alleged that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is building a narrative aimed at making the July 25 polls controversial. PTI leader addressed a press conference and showed concerns over the course taken by the PML-N attempting to misinform public and stir a controversy over general elections.
“PTI strongly condemns PML-N’s narrative to hit out at the institutions [military establishment and judiciary] to make the elections controversial,” Fawad said. PTI is not going to accept any suggestions to derail and delay the upcoming polls.
He made it clear that party is aware of the methods and antics purposely being used to taint the polls and in under any circumstances, it will not accept any delays. In recent days, PML-N is propagating a narrative that the country’s top institutions-judiciary and military establishment is sabotaging the general elections. PML-N has attacked the intelligence agencies for forcing the politicians to change their loyalties.
Nawaz is building pressure by using media to reach the voters and misinform them of his unfortunate plight. PTI is aware of his strategy. It is trying to keep the voters in the loop. It aims to outsmart Nawaz’s strategy.
So far the institutions have shown restraint and did not indulge in a war of words over the repeated rhetoric form Nawaz over poll engineering. Despite the advice of restraint from many quarters and fellow seasoned politicians desperate Sharif looks to avenge his ousting. Nawaz’s post disqualification campaign and an altercation with the judiciary over the 28-July Panama case verdict is aimed at confusing the masses, making it controversial.

Nawaz blames the judiciary and military establishment for the verdict against him. He is using his disqualification to his advantage by cultivating sympathy vote, and has groomed Maryam Nawaz too. The father-daughter duo is implying that the establishment put the full stop on his tenure. And now, it is threatening the political leaders and workers of its party to alienate Nawaz and to oust him from politics.
Nawaz’s agenda from his disqualification and start of accountability process has been to play a victim to perfection, abuse judiciary on its past mistakes, thwart the accountability process, degrade the institutions using the anti-judicial rhetoric & somehow save the ill-gotten wealth & damaged repute.

Accountability court is expected to announce the verdict before July 25th elections. Any unfavorable outcome can discredit Nawaz. Fearing a negative outcome and subsequent failure in the poll, Nawaz is building pressure by using media to reach the voters and misinform them of his unfortunate plight.

PTI is aware of his strategy. It is trying to keep the voters in the loop. It aims to outsmart Nawaz’s strategy. In a fight with a resurgent institution [Supreme Court], the beleaguered family is desperate to save itself. The question remains will sympathy politics do the trick for Nawaz.
