A move away from the illegality of cannabis in many places has seen positive effects and applications for the substance. Cannabis dispensaries in many states in the United States now serve as a bridge providing access for potential users that require medical cannabis for treating ailments. As part of the breakthrough in the application of cannabis, many have discovered how the substance can be infused into their everyday diet. We’re talking about cannabis infusion.
What is cannabis infusion
Cannabis infusion is the process of infusing oil and other substances with the aroma and flavor of cannabis. A procedure that has been around for long but is fast gaining popularity. Cannabis infusion has medical and recreational use. The infusion method is achieved by using different binding agents and methods. Oil, for example, is a popular choice as it is viable and offers lots of benefits. Another binding agent used for cannabis infusion is butter as it addresses a lack of appetite.
The most obvious advantage of cannabis infusion is that, unlike smoking, it can be controlled, and it delays the psychotropic effect. Although, we recommend that users start slow and be flexible to try new products. Do note that you should never try all at once and should stick to a routine after finding out which one works best for you.
How to make cannabis infusions?
The first step to making a cannabis infusion is to choose the right cannabis strain. Because there are different types of cannabis strains, there are different aromas and flavors. As a result, there is no universal strain that will fit every type of dish you have in mind. When this is done, you need fat as Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is not water-soluble. Fats and oil like avocado oil, coconut oil, butter, bacon fat, and bacon oil are good options to choose from. However, butter and coconut oil offer the best flavor. Combine this with a few more ingredients and you will have an excellent cannabis infusion.
