‘Tea is fantastic’: Turkish chef Burak Ozdemir promises to open restaurant in Pakistan

Turkish chef, Burak Ozdemir, has announced, on Saturday, to open a Turkish cuisine restaurant in Pakistan soon in the spirit of Pak-Turk friendship

Turkish chef, Burak Ozdemir, has announced, on Saturday, to open a Turkish cuisine restaurant in Pakistan soon in the spirit of Pak-Turk friendship. He invited Pakistani people to come and eat good food at the restaurant he will open soon in Pakistan.

The announcement came during his four-day trip to Pakistan. Ozdemir had reached Pakistan on Saturday. He had an engaging tour in Pakistan where he met various social and political personalities.

Burak Ozdemir: visit to shelter home

On Sunday, Ozdemir visited the shelter home with Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Social Welfare, Sania Nishtar. He cooked Turkish food and broke break with the residents of shelter homes. SAPM Nishtar shared the images of his visit to Shelter home on her official Twitter account.

 

He also visited the Pakistan Army Museum in Rawalpindi. He also saw the sculpture of Quaid-e-Azam at the museum, awarding a national emblem to the Army unit.

Visit to Murree

On Monday, Ozdemir travelled to Pakistan’s scenic tourist spot, Murree and Bhurban. He even clicked a picture with a Kashmiri flag. Ozdemir said he is in love with Pakistani cuisine, particularly, the Pakistani tea. His video of saying, ‘Pakistani tea is fantastic’ went viral on social media, apparently taking a jab at Indian Air Force Wing Commander, Abhinandan Varthaman.

 

Ozdemir also met Javed Afridi, the owner of the Pakistan Super League franchise, Peshawar Zalmi. Afridi gifted Ozdemir the shirt of Peshawar Zalmi with his name printed on it, a Pakol hat, and a shawl. Ozdemir also clicked pictures in a batting pose. Ozedmir said he will also promote tourism in Pakistan.

Arrival in Pakistan

Earlier, ion his arrival, Turkish chef said he is happy to visit the country and thanked Pakistanis for expressing solidarity with the Turkish nation in time of the natural calamity. The chef also acknowledged the brotherly relations of Pakistan and Turkey.

“I will start learning to cook more Pakistani food, Today I will go to the shelter home and will cook Pakistani food there,” he said while sharing his plans for the day.

Expressing his fondness for the Pakistani people, he said: “Pakistanis are our brothers first, then customers.”

Ozdemir voice solidarity with Kashmir

“We love Kashmir,” said Ozdemir. He said that he has come especially to Pakistan to eat Kashmiri food.

Ozdemir is the second Turkish celebrity to visit Pakistan this year after Turkish actor Cavit Cetin Guner, who played Dogan Alp in the smashing Turkish series, Dirilis Ertugrul.

Ozedmir, also known as CZN Burak is famous for preparing gigantic portions of delicious Turkish cuisines. The 26-year-old chef has a huge following on social media. He is seen wearing traditional ajrak in a video released from his visit to the embassy. The chef also delivered the message in Urdu and Turkish language.

“Jeevay jeevay Pakistan, jeevay jeevay Turkey. Hopefully, we will visit Pakistan soon,” said Ozedmir in the video shared on his Twitter account. “Visit Pakistan. I am coming to Pakistan Long live Pakistan Long live Turkey!”Ozdemir wrote in a tweet.
