2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Pricing Revealed: MSRPs Lower Than Expected

Dodge has finally released official pricing information for the much-anticipated 2024 Charger Daytona. Contrary to the previously leaked rumors, the prices are lower than expected, making the upcoming electric muscle car even more enticing for buyers. The base model, the 2024 Charger Daytona R/T, will start at $59,995 before the destination charge, which puts it at $8,575 less than the rumored price. Similarly, the 2024 Charger Daytona Scat Pack will start at $75,185 after the destination charge, $8,980 below the rumored amount.

Interestingly, the official standard equipment differs from what early dealer guides had suggested. The initial guides indicated that the R/T trim would come loaded with the Plus Group, Blacktop Package, and Sun & Sound Group, totaling $8,585 in option prices. This aligns with the discrepancy between the leaked prices and the officially announced MSRPs. However, Dodge has never referred to the new Charger as a “First Edition” model, despite the inclusion of certain features often associated with such editions. It remains unclear whether Dodge initially planned a premium first-year launch and later adjusted its strategy or if the rumors simply projected expectations onto the Charger’s release.

Now, let’s take a closer look at the Plus Group, a package that offers various options depending on the trim. With both the R/T and Scat Pack trims, the Plus Group includes a 360-degree surround-view camera, Attitude Adjustment lighting, exterior mirrors with Dodge logo puddle lamps, a frunk, premium interior trim panels, premium LED headlights, a power hatch, and a wireless charging pad. However, the front storage area, commonly known as a “frunk,” is only available after paying an additional $4,995.

The R/T trim, specifically, also receives a 16-inch color driver display, 20-by-9-inch aluminum wheels, a deluxe security alarm, a head-up display, and leatherette low-back bucket seats with ventilation. On the other hand, the Scat Pack trim comes standard with the 16-inch driver display, alarm, and HUD, along with leather high-back bucket seats with ventilation. Dodge mentions that the Plus Group includes “much more additional content,” although specifics are not provided. For those interested in the Demonic Red seats, they can be added for an extra $495 after purchasing the Plus Group.

Apart from the Plus Group, Dodge lists two exclusive options for the Scat Pack: the $2,995 Carbon & Suede Package and the $695 3-Season Tires with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 rubber. Contrary to some prior assumptions, the Goodyear tires do not come with the Track Pack; all-season tires are standard. It’s worth noting that both the Goodyear tires and the Track Package will see price increases in 2025.

Additionally, both the 2024 Charger Daytona R/T and Scat Pack qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit when leased. Furthermore, buyers will have the option to choose between a Level 2 home charging station or receive a $600 charging credit through Stellantis’ Free2move Charge network. Production of the two-door electric models is set to begin this summer, with the four-door versions following in the first half of 2025. The gas-powered versions, featuring the Hurricane inline-six engine, will enter production in the second half of 2025.

For potential buyers interested in securing a Charger Daytona, Dodge plans to launch its Horsepower Locator in Q3, allowing shoppers to find dealer allocations. The official release of the Charger Daytona is scheduled for Q4 of this year when customers will be able to find the much-anticipated electric muscle car at local dealerships. With the competitive pricing and enticing features, the 2024 Charger Daytona is shaping up to be a highly desirable option for electric vehicle enthusiasts and muscle car fans alike.
