“2025 Aston Martin DBX707 Review: A Super-SUV That Exudes Power and Luxury”

Aston Martin’s DBX is a prime example of a “super-SUV,” a vehicle that celebrates excess in size, weight, and power. Typically, Aston Martin has pursued a more subtle and understated approach compared to its European rivals. However, with the introduction of the DBX707, it seems that change is in the air in Gaydon.

The DBX quickly became Aston’s best-selling model upon its launch in 2021. The first major change came in 2022 with the introduction of the DBX707, which boasted an upgraded powertrain. Thanks to a pair of new turbochargers, the AMG-sourced 4.0-liter V8 engine delivered an impressive 697 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. This power, combined with a nine-speed wet clutch transmission and all-wheel drive, allowed the DBX707 to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 193 mph. Aston Martin discontinued the standard DBX and made the DBX707 the only version available, despite the base price rising to $253,000.

In 2025, the DBX707 received a range of updates that addressed its few shortcomings. While the exterior changes are minor, with new paint color options and wheel finishes, the updates contribute to a more luxurious and performance-oriented cabin. The highlight of the interior changes is the all-new, in-house-developed infotainment system. Aston Martin has finally caught up to its rivals in terms of in-car technology. The new system features a 10.25-inch touchscreen, impressive visuals, fast response, and support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The DBX707’s hardware remains unchanged for 2025, but Aston Martin made calibration adjustments to the electronic dampers and air springs based on customer feedback. These changes improve the SUV’s transient body control, making it feel more composed and comfortable during aggressive driving. The DBX707 still maintains its supple ride quality for everyday driving but now feels more eager to tackle corners.

The real star of the DBX707 is its twin-turbo V8 engine, which sounds incredible with the active exhaust valves open. It provides the SUV with the same impressive speed and power as before but without the need to overlook other aspects of the vehicle. The DBX707 feels like a fully realized performance machine, a super-sport utility vehicle that can confidently stand alongside its competitors without any apologies. Although it may be excessive, that’s precisely the point of a super-SUV.
