“2025 Genesis GV60: New Trims, Specs, and Range Estimates Revealed”

Genesis has consistently made updates to its GV60 electric crossover since its introduction in 2023, and the trend continues with the 2025 model year. In 2024, Genesis introduced a new entry-level model called the Standard, which featured rear-wheel drive and a lower price point compared to the Advanced AWD trim. This new trim also offered an extended range of nearly 50 miles. For 2025, Genesis is adding another trim to the lineup, an AWD version of the Standard.

While the official EPA ratings for the 2025 GV60 are not yet available, let’s take a look at the specs we currently have and use range estimates from the 2024 model year. The Standard RWD trim is equipped with a single motor on the rear axle, producing 225 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. In 2024, it had an EPA-rated range of 294 miles.

Moving up to the AWD trims, both the Standard AWD and Advanced AWD models feature two motors, which together generate a combined output of 314 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque. The Standard AWD comes with 19-inch wheels and an estimated range of 264 miles, while the Advanced AWD comes with 20-inch wheels and a slightly reduced range of 248 miles.

For those seeking even more performance, there’s the Performance AWD trim. This variant boasts a dual-motor setup, delivering a combined output of 429 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. In certain conditions, the power can be boosted to 483 horsepower for up to ten seconds. However, due to its 21-inch wheels, the Performance AWD trim is estimated to have a range of approximately 235 miles.

In terms of pricing, there has been a $350 increase for the carryover trims. The 2025 GV60, including the $1,350 destination charge, is priced as follows: the Standard RWD trim starts at $53,700, the new Standard AWD trim begins at $57,200, the Advanced AWD trim starts at $62,250, and the range-topping Performance AWD trim is priced from $71,250.

In terms of color options, there is one free color available, Alta White, while all other colors, including the new Capri Blue, come with an additional charge of $650. Notably, the Matterhorn White color, which was available in 2024, is no longer offered.

Genesis is not done yet, as there are more exciting things to come for the GV60. The GV60 Magma Concept, which was showcased at the New York Auto Show, is expected to go into production. This model will likely have a power output similar to that of the Kia EV6 GT or the Hyundai Ioniq N, which offer 576 horsepower and 641 horsepower, respectively. Additionally, the GV60 Magma Concept will feature a distinctive body kit to make an even more impactful visual statement.

Overall, Genesis continues to refine and expand its GV60 lineup, offering a range of trims to suit different preferences and budgets. With its impressive electric range, luxurious features, and upcoming performance variant, the GV60 is poised to make a strong impression in the electric crossover market.
