2025 GMC Yukon AT4 Teased: A Sneak Peek at the Redesigned Luxury Truck

2025 GMC Yukon Teaser: A Glimpse of the Front Fascia

GMC is giving us a sneak peek at the 2025 Yukon, specifically the AT4 trim. As a refresh, we don’t expect any major changes to the underlying structure. However, it seems that the new face will emphasize horizontal breadth rather than the massive grille and skid plate area that is characteristic of the current Yukon.

The most noticeable change is the taller C-shaped headlights on the 2025 model. Unlike the current design, the shorter horizontal element at the top no longer extends all the way to the grille surround. Instead, it is separated from the three main beams below by a body-colored piece that extends from the grille cradle. Below the headlights, the lower bumper treatment has been revamped to give the truck a more aggressive look. The entire bumper is now black and wraps around into the fenders, replacing the black centerpiece that houses the skid plate and tow hooks. The grille itself remains largely unchanged, but its crossbars have been reprofiled.

As the sibling of the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, which were revealed last November, we can expect similar updates for the Yukon. On the exterior, this means refinements to the independent rear suspension for improved handling, new wheel designs, and the availability of the second-generation 3.0-liter Duramax inline-six engine with increased power output. Instead of the current 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, the new engine will produce 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. Inside the cabin, we can anticipate a new instrument panel housing a large 17.7-inch touchscreen for infotainment purposes. Additionally, the center console will feature a column shifter instead of push buttons. Updated trim materials will also enhance the overall luxury feel of the interior.

If the technology features from the Chevrolet SUVs carry over, buyers can expect the Connected Cameras feature, which allows for viewing and recording inside and outside the vehicle for crash and security purposes. There may also be an Interior Motion Detection system that can detect small movements within the cabin, such as those made by a baby or pet left in the vehicle.

GMC has something special in store for the Yukon, as 2024 marks the fifth anniversary of the AT4 trim and the 25th anniversary of the Denali trim. We will have to wait until later this year for the official reveal, as GMC plans to unveil the Yukon after the new Acadia begins shipping to dealers. So stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated luxury truck.
