2025 Kia Sorento Pricing: Updates, Changes, and New Trim Levels

Kia has recently announced the pricing for its non-hybrid 2025 Sorento, and the good news for potential buyers is that the prices are mostly unchanged. In fact, some trims even saw a decrease in price. This comes as a relief after the previous round of price increases for the 2024 Sorento.

The non-hybrid 2025 Sorento comes in several trims, each offering different features and capabilities. The base LX trim starts at $33,365, with no change in price from the previous model year. The S trim, with added features, is priced at $35,965, an increase of $200. The EX trim starts at $39,465, with only a slight increase of $100. The SX trim remains unchanged at $43,065.

One interesting addition to the lineup is the X-Line trim. The X-Line EX trim is now priced at $43,165, which is $200 less than before. The X-Line SX and X-Line SX Prestige trims both maintain their previous prices, at $44,865 and $47,765 respectively. There is also a new X-Pro trim, priced at $48,765.

It’s worth noting that the LX, S, EX, and SX trims come with front-wheel drive as standard. If you want all-wheel drive for the S trim, which is the only non-X-Line trim to offer this option, it will cost an additional $2,000.

In terms of changes to the Sorento’s appearance, one notable update is the replacement of Gravity Gray with Panthera Metal on the exterior color palette. Additionally, the X-Line and X-Pro trims now feature black Kia and Sorento badging throughout, including on the wheel caps.

Moving on to the hybrid options, Kia offers the 2025 Sorento Hybrid and Sorento PHEV. The pricing for the hybrid trims remains the same as two months ago. The EX Hybrid starts at $40,065, while the SX Prestige Hybrid is priced at $48,265.

However, it’s the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version that sees a significant price increase. To offset this, Kia introduced a new entry-level trim for the 2025 model year, priced below $50,000 after the destination fee. The EX PHEV is the new trim option, starting at $49,365. The SX Prestige PHEV, on the other hand, sees a steep increase of $2,800, now priced at $54,465.

Overall, Kia has made some strategic pricing adjustments for the 2025 Sorento lineup. By keeping most non-hybrid prices unchanged and even lowering the price of one trim, Kia aims to attract buyers who were concerned about potential increases. The addition of the X-Line and X-Pro trims also gives customers more options to choose from. However, with the plug-in hybrid trim seeing a significant price bump, Kia has introduced a new entry-level option to make the PHEV more accessible. These pricing changes demonstrate Kia’s commitment to offering a diverse range of choices for customers and catering to different budgets and preferences.
