“2025 Land Rover Defender 110 Octa: The Ultimate Combination of Urban Speed and Off-Road Superiority”

Land Rover has unveiled the 2025 Defender 110 Octa, a powerful and capable off-road vehicle designed to combine urban speed with trail superiority. This new model includes several upgrades that enhance its performance both on and off the road.

Starting with the engine, the Defender 110 Octa is equipped with a BMW-sourced twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine, producing an impressive 626 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. This engine is a significant improvement over the previous version, delivering more power and performance. With 22-inch wheels and road tires, the Octa can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph.

In terms of off-road capabilities, the Octa features an Octa driving mode that enables launch control on soft surfaces, providing additional torque. It also includes the Terrain Response system, ensuring optimal performance in different terrains. However, Land Rover advises against using the Octa for jumping, as it is not designed for extreme off-roading.

To enhance its off-road capabilities, Land Rover borrowed the 6D suspension system from the Range Rover Sport SV. This hydraulic setup links the dampers at all four corners, managing roll without the need for a traditional roll bar. The Defender 110 Octa also includes longer and tougher suspension wishbones, increasing ground clearance by 1.1 inches and widening the vehicle by 2.7 inches compared to the standard Defender 110.

The Octa’s off-road form is equipped with 20-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch tires, which are the largest ever offered on a factory Land Rover. Land Rover went through extensive development to create a tire that combines on-road handling and performance with puncture resistance. The result is a custom Goodyear Wrangler tire designed specifically for the Octa.

Inside the cabin, the Octa Edition One offers a luxurious and comfortable experience. The seats are wrapped in leather or textiles sourced from Kvadrat and Ultrafabrics, providing a stylish and sophisticated interior. The Edition One cabin comes in Khaki and Ebony Ultrafabric, creating a unique and distinctive look.

Land Rover plans to produce only 4,000 units of the 2025 Defender 110 Octa for global consumption. The standard Octa starts at $153,475, while the Octa Edition One is priced at $169,275. The company expects to sell around 300 units in the United States. Orders are already open, and the truck will make its debut at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Overall, the 2025 Land Rover Defender 110 Octa is a remarkable off-road vehicle that combines power, performance, and luxury. With its impressive engine, advanced suspension system, and spacious cabin, this model sets a new standard for off-road capability while providing a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience.
