2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+: A Toned-Down Track Beast with Enhanced Performance and Aero

Introducing the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+: The Ultimate Track Day Machine

The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ is the latest addition to the AMG GT lineup, making its grand debut at the prestigious 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed. While its name may be a mouthful, the “Pro” designation in this model signifies its status as a successor to the highly popular GT R Pro. However, this new version offers a more refined and toned-down experience.

One of the most significant upgrades in the GT 63 Pro is its enhanced performance. Under the hood lies a hand-built 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that churns out an impressive 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. Compared to its predecessor, these figures represent an increase of 26 horsepower and 37 pound-feet of torque. It boasts a 0-to-60 mph time of 3.1 seconds, while also managing to trim half a second off its 0-124 mph time and increase its top speed by a single mile per hour to 197 mph.

While the GT 63 Pro may not outshine the prowess of the GT 63 S E Performance, which remains the fastest in terms of acceleration with a blistering 2.7-second 0-60 sprint, it is specifically designed for track day enthusiasts. To ensure optimal performance on the track, AMG has reinforced the cooling circuits by installing two radiators in the front wheel arches. Additionally, the front and rear differentials and transfer case now boast top-mounted radiators that are actively cooled with electrically operated water pumps, allowing for more efficient heat dissipation.

Improved aerodynamics play a crucial role in enhancing track performance as well. The front fascia showcases a new design that incorporates additional carbon fiber air deflectors around the side air intakes. Furthermore, the underbody is equipped with more air deflectors positioned at the height of the front and rear axles, drawing inspiration from the prestigious Mercedes-AMG One. These modifications expedite airflow underneath the car, resulting in reduced lift by over 66 pounds on the front axle and increased downforce by 33 pounds on the rear axle. Alongside these aerodynamic enhancements, the Pro model comes with the AMG Aerodynamics Package, complete with an active underbody air control system and a fixed rear wing.

Appearance-wise, the GT 63 Pro boasts the AMG Exterior Carbon Fiber Package as standard equipment. Additionally, the brake calipers are painted black, giving them a sleek and sporty look. Inside the cabin, one can find the luxurious AMG Performance seats and a standard AMG Performance steering wheel wrapped in a combination of leather and microfiber.

As for availability, Mercedes plans to release the GT 63 Pro in 2025. Although pricing details have not been officially revealed, it is expected to come with a substantial premium over the base price of $177,050 for the standard GT 63.

Overall, the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ represents the pinnacle of track day performance. With its formidable power, enhanced cooling system, improved aerodynamics, and stylish design elements, this model is poised to deliver an exhilarating driving experience that will surely captivate enthusiasts when it hits the roads next year.
