The incident occurred in Athens, Greece, shortly after the tour began. The car, valued at $3 million, was adorned in raw carbon fiber with 24-karat gold accents, making it a unique and luxurious model.
CEO Christian von Koenigsegg took to Instagram to address the issue and provide an explanation. According to his post, the fire was caused by a leak in the car’s pressurized hydraulic line. While other flammable systems such as the fuel tank and engine and gearbox oil systems remained intact, evidence of hydraulic fluid on the road led to an investigation of the hydraulic system. The investigation revealed that the hose at the rear of the car was compromised.
To prevent such incidents in the future, Koenigsegg is taking proactive measures. They are thoroughly checking the hydraulic systems of all cars produced and already delivered. Additionally, the company is working on a software update that will monitor hydraulic pressure and automatically shut down the system in the event of a leak. This update is expected to be available soon.

However, without proper evidence to support their claim, this attempt seemed dubious.
