Alfa Romeo Unveils Limited-Edition 2024 Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport Models

Alfa Romeo, known for their iconic sports cars, is making a bold move towards an electric future. But before they bid farewell to gasoline-powered vehicles, the Italian automaker is treating enthusiasts with a series of limited-edition special models. Building upon their previous releases, Alfa Romeo has now unveiled the 2024 Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport models.

These new Super Sport editions come on the heels of the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio 100th Anniversario models, which celebrated the centenary of the famed four-leaf clover trims. Following that, Alfa Romeo launched the Quadrifoglio Carbon Editions, highlighting the intricate resin weave, and then the Tributo Italiano Editions, paying homage to their home country. Now, with the end of the internal combustion era looming, Alfa Romeo has introduced the Super Sport variants to their Quadrifoglio lineup.

Limited to just 275 units worldwide (with 72 destined for the U.S.), the Giulia Quadrifoglio Super Sport is a truly exclusive offering. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport is even more limited, with only 175 examples being produced for the world, and just 52 of those slated for U.S. customers.

Under the hood, both the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport models are powered by Alfa Romeo’s twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 engine. With an output of 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, these vehicles pack a punch. The power is transferred to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

While some enthusiasts may have hoped for upgrades found on the 100th anniversary models, such as a more powerful engine and a mechanical limited-slip differential, Alfa Romeo has chosen to focus on aesthetic enhancements for the Super Sport variants. On the exterior, these models feature a black Quadrifoglio badge, carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber accents in the grille shield, black Brembo calipers, and dark five-hole wheels. The Giulia Super Sport rides on 19-inch wheels, while the Stelvio Super Sport boasts larger 21-inch wheels.

Inside the cabin, the Super Sport models receive special red carbon fiber trim on the instrument panel, center console, and door cards. The headrests are embroidered, and the steering wheel is wrapped in a combination of leather and Alcantara, providing a luxurious and sporty feel.

Alfa Romeo offers three exterior color options for the Giulia Super Sport: Bianco Alfa, Metallic Nero Vulcano, or “Three-layer” Rosso Etna. On the other hand, the Stelvio Super Sport can be ordered in either Metallic Nero Vulcano or “Three-layer” Rosso Etna, excluding the Bianco Alfa option.

As expected, these limited-production models come at a premium. The 2024 Giulia Quadrifoglio Super Sport starts at $88,365 (including a $1,595 destination charge), representing a $5,400 increase over the standard Giulia Quadrifoglio. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport carries an even steeper price tag, starting at $95,965, which is $7,000 more than the standard Stelvio Quadrifoglio.

Interested customers can place orders for these special editions now, with deliveries expected in the fall of 2024. As Alfa Romeo transitions towards electrification, these limited-edition Super Sport models serve as a fitting tribute to their rich heritage of performance and style.
