Announcement: Milestone and MotoGP Reveal MotoGP 2024 Schedule for May 2

Milestone and MotoGP have announced the release of MotoGP 24, the official video game for the 2024 season of MotoGP. The game will be available on multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.

Milestone, a prominent game developer based in Milan, Italy, aims to provide players with an experience that closely resembles real-life racing. They have taken into account feedback from the community and have added features such as Dynamic Weather and Flag-to-Flag races in previous installments. MotoGP 24 will introduce the Riders Market and Stewards, which will enhance the realism and competitiveness of the game.

The Riders Market is a new feature that allows players to experience the excitement of rider transfers. Just like in real MotoGP, every season will begin with a different roster, and players will have to compete not only for race victories and championships but also to secure a seat in a team or retain their current one. The fictional Social Network within the game will even fuel rumors about possible rider transfers, adding another layer of intrigue to the gameplay.

The Stewards feature adds a level of accountability to the game. Stewards will monitor races and penalize riders and AI based on their behavior on the track. This includes warnings, time penalties, and even canceled qualifying times. Irresponsible riding will have consequences on rivalries with other riders, making every move on the track count.

Milestone has also introduced an Adaptive Difficulty system that dynamically adjusts the difficulty of opponents based on the player’s performance. This ensures that players of all skill levels can enjoy the game and have a challenging yet rewarding experience.

The AI and physics in MotoGP 24 have been significantly improved. The AI now replicates the racing strategies of real riders, with former World Champions waiting for the right moment to make their winning overtakes. The game physics have also been enhanced, with a new electronic tuning system to better manage corner entry and exit, improve power delivery, and handle tire management on different tracks.

The online section of MotoGP 24 will feature LiveGP Championships, a new multiplayer mode designed for competitive players. Cross-play will be available, allowing players from different platforms and console generations to compete against each other. Additionally, the game will offer a 2-player local split-screen mode for PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam versions, enabling players to challenge their friends side-by-side.

Players will also have the opportunity to unleash their creativity through four powerful editors for helmets, stickers, racing numbers, and butt patches. They can share their creations online and across platforms, adding a personal touch to their gaming experience.

Luisa Bixio, Milestone CEO, expressed her pride in the new chapter of MotoGP and the inclusion of the highly anticipated Riders Market feature. She thanked MotoGP for their constant support throughout the journey. Dan Rossomondo, chief commercial officer of MotoGP’s commercial rights holder Dorna Sports, expressed excitement about the new features in MotoGP 24 and the commitment to making the game as close to the real thing as possible.

MotoGP 24 promises to deliver an immersive and thrilling gaming experience for fans of MotoGP and racing games alike. With its realistic features, dynamic gameplay, and cross-platform compatibility, players can enjoy the excitement of MotoGP from the comfort of their own homes.
