Apple’s Future iPhone Lineup: iPhone 17, Pro, Pro Max, and Slim Models in 2025

Apple’s future plans include significant changes to its iPhone lineup, according to a report by Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu. While the upcoming iPad event, WWDC, and iPhone 16 launch are generating buzz, Pu’s report focuses on the iPhone models expected in 2025. The lineup will allegedly consist of the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17, and iPhone 17 Slim.

The most intriguing addition to the lineup is the iPhone 17 Slim, which is expected to replace the “Plus” model. While details about this new variant are scarce, it is rumored to have a slimmer design compared to other iPhones. Pu also claims that the iPhone 17 lineup will feature a “more complex” aluminum design, except for the Pro Max model, which will be made of titanium. Additionally, the Pro Max model will incorporate a smaller Dynamic Island with a reduced Face ID sensor size, made possible by new “metalens” technology.

In terms of specifications, Pu predicts that the iPhone 17 and 17 Slim will come with 8GB of RAM and either an A18 or A19 chip. On the other hand, the Pro and Pro Max models will have 12GB of RAM and Apple’s A19 Pro chip. All four models are expected to boast a 24-megapixel selfie camera, a significant upgrade from the current 12-megapixel cameras.

While these predictions may seem exciting, it’s important to approach them with caution. Apple has been known to keep its plans under tight wraps, making it difficult to confirm the accuracy of such reports. Nevertheless, these rumors provide an interesting glimpse into the potential future of Apple’s iPhone lineup.

Moving beyond iPhones, Pu’s report also includes predictions for other Apple devices. He suggests that Apple plans to begin mass production of a 20.3-inch foldable hybrid device in late 2025. It remains unclear whether this device will be labeled as an iPad, MacBook, or an entirely new product. Furthermore, a foldable iPhone is expected to launch in late 2026.

While rumors of foldable Apple devices have circulated before, Pu’s timing is noteworthy. Previous reports indicated that Apple was working on foldable devices but suggested that they were not yet ready for mass production. Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable analyst, also mentioned that a 20.3-inch foldable MacBook would not be available until 2027 and expressed uncertainty about a foldable iPhone’s development schedule.

In conclusion, while Apple’s plans for the future are always a topic of interest, it is important to approach rumors and predictions with skepticism. However, if these reports hold true, consumers can expect significant changes to the iPhone lineup in 2025, including the introduction of the iPhone 17 Slim. Additionally, the possibility of foldable devices on the horizon adds an exciting dimension to Apple’s product offerings. Only time will tell how these predictions align with Apple’s actual plans.
