“Aston Martin Unveils New Vanquish with Thunderous V12 Power: Here’s What You Need to Know”

Aston Martin is set to unveil its highly anticipated new Vanquish model on September 2nd. The next-generation GT flagship will be equipped with a powerful V12 engine, delivering 824bhp and 738lb ft of torque. These impressive figures represent a significant increase over the outgoing DBS model, making the Vanquish one of the most powerful production Astons to date.

The increase in performance is achieved through an extensive redevelopment of Aston’s twin-turbocharged V12 engine. The company has made improvements to the cylinder block, cylinder heads, camshafts, intake and exhaust ports, and spark plugs. The turbochargers have also been upgraded for better throttle response. Aston claims that these enhancements will result in unprecedented performance and efficiency, surpassing the capabilities of the DBS.

The new GT will be the first of a series of exclusive and limited-availability models to feature the overhauled V12 engine. Aston Martin plans to hand-build the engine in strictly limited numbers, suggesting that the Vanquish will be a more exclusive offering compared to its predecessor. Chief technical officer Roberto Fedeli describes the V12 engine as a symbol of power and prestige, representing the dawn of a new era for Aston Martin.

Spy shots of the Vanquish in testing reveal that it is based on the DB12 but features a visual makeover to reflect its increased power. The wide-reaching changes include larger vents on the bonnet, a wider front grille, and a chunkier lower splitter for improved downforce. The rear end of the car has a larger diffuser and four tailpipes, signaling its increased performance capabilities.

In addition to the power increase, the Vanquish is expected to undergo a comprehensive chassis overhaul. This will include uprated dampers and improved rigidity, enhancing the car’s cornering performance and overall capabilities on the track. Aston Martin aims to differentiate the Vanquish from its V8-engined Vantage and DB12 siblings, ensuring that each front-engined model has its own distinct character and capabilities.

Aston Martin’s commitment to V12 engines is evident in their desire to offer customers a powerful and emotional driving experience. While electrification is becoming more prevalent in the industry, the V12 engine remains a favorite among Aston Martin enthusiasts. Strategy and product boss Alex Long emphasizes the unique appeal of the V12 engine and its strong emotional connection with customers.

Overall, the upcoming Aston Martin Vanquish is set to be a true supercar, combining stunning design, exceptional performance, and the unmistakable sound of a V12 engine. With its increased power, exclusive production numbers, and distinct character, the Vanquish will undoubtedly make a bold statement in the automotive world.
