“Bentley Unveils Ultra-Exclusive Batur Convertible, Its Most Expensive and Powerful Car Yet”

Bentley has recently unveiled its latest creation, the Batur Convertible, which is not only the brand’s most expensive car to date but also one of the most powerful combustion convertibles to come out of Britain. This drop-top model is the third bespoke line from Bentley’s Mulliner coachbuilding division and is based on the Batur coupé. However, unlike its predecessor, the Batur Convertible features a retractable roof.

Only 16 examples of this ultra-exclusive car will be built, each offering extreme levels of personalization and costing over £2 million. The Batur Convertible is derived from the Continental GT and is powered by Bentley’s iconic 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine. It should be noted that this engine will soon be discontinued, making the Batur Convertible one of the last cars to feature it. The engine produces a staggering 740bhp and 738lb ft of torque, providing impressive performance. While Bentley has not released full performance figures, it is expected to match the hard-top version’s 3.4-second 0-62mph time and 209mph top speed.

One of the key highlights of the Batur Convertible is the level of personalization offered by Mulliner. No two examples of this car will be alike, as customers have the freedom to design their car according to their own preferences. Bentley says that customers are “limited only by their imagination” when it comes to customizing their vehicle. They can choose the color and material for practically every surface, with an infinite range of paint choices available. Additionally, hand-painted graphics, different finishes for the metal bodywork trim, and an ombré-style effect for the front grille are also options.

In addition to customizing the exterior, customers can choose the material for the convertible top itself. The interior of the Batur Convertible can be adorned with 3D-printed rose gold trim elements, including the ‘organ stop’ vent controls, adding a touch of luxury and exclusivity.

Interestingly, Bentley has stated that the Batur Convertible will be “one of the last ever” models to feature their iconic W12 engine, suggesting that the engine is not ready to retire just yet. This also opens up the possibility of further special editions featuring the W12 engine before it is eventually replaced by a new V8 hybrid arrangement for Bentley’s core models.

Overall, the Bentley Batur Convertible represents the pinnacle of luxury and performance. It combines exclusive craftsmanship with powerful performance, making it a highly desirable car for collectors and enthusiasts alike. With its limited production run and extensive personalization options, the Batur Convertible is sure to become a prized possession for those fortunate enough to acquire one.
