The Chevrolet Traverse is gearing up for its second year in the third generation, and it’s bringing back the popular High Country trim. The High Country trim, which was last seen on the midsize SUV in the 2023 model year, will now be positioned below the RS trim. This is a significant change from the previous trim order of LS, LT, RS, Premier, High Country.
The High Country trim will offer a luxurious and eye-catching option for buyers. Unlike other trims, it will feature body-colored door handles with a chrome strip and brightwork around the top of the greenhouse. Additionally, it will be equipped with 22-inch aluminum wheels, contrasting the Grazen Metallic and High Gloss Black wheels on the rest of the lineup. These design elements will set the High Country apart as the top-tier, upscale choice.
In terms of equipment, the High Country will borrow many features from the sporty RS trim. This includes LED headlights with animations and sequential turn signals, dimmable and power-folding outside mirrors, rainsense wipers, Bose 10-speaker audio, active noise cancellation, Driver Confidence Package with HD Surround Vision and Traffic Sign Recognition, and three years of Super Cruise. However, the powered panoramic sunroof will be available as a standalone option.
The interior of the High Country trim will have two unique options: Jet Black with Bronze accents and Jet Black with Sky Cool Gray accents. These interior choices will further enhance the premium feel of the High Country. Additionally, the color palette will include Harvest Bronze Metallic, but this will only be available on the Z71 trim. High Country owners will have the exclusive option of the new Stardust Metallic color.
In terms of performance, all trims of the Traverse will come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. The Z71 trim will only be available with all-wheel drive, while the other trims can be either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
As for pricing, details have not been released. However, the 2025 Traverse LS will start at $40,995 after destination, and the LT at $43,395. It remains to be seen where Chevy will set the price for the High Country trim.
