Discover Your Perfect Music Match at Glastonbury Festival with Spotify Integration

Discovering new artists at music festivals can be a thrilling experience, but it can also be overwhelming with so many options to choose from. The fear of missing out on an artist you might love is real. To alleviate this anxiety, Spotify has partnered with Glastonbury Festival to provide personalized lineup recommendations based on your Spotify listening habits.

The integration between Spotify and the official Glastonbury app allows festivalgoers to link their Spotify accounts and receive a curated top 10 list of artists they might like who are performing at the event. This feature, found in the “Discover” tab of the app, ensures that you don’t miss out on artists that align with your music taste. You can even add these recommended artists to your schedule and visit their artist page within the app, which includes Spotify embeds of their most popular songs.

According to Spotify, streams related to festival lineups experience a significant boost during major music events like Glastonbury. Last year, following the full lineup announcement, streams of the “Glastonbury Festival 2023 Playlist” increased by 323%, and during the weeks of and after the festival, the increase was a staggering 393%. Searches for “glastonbury” also saw a daily increase of 12% in the two weeks leading up to the festival and a 270% increase during the festival compared to the previous week.

The partnership between Spotify and Glastonbury goes beyond the app integration. Spotify has created an official Glastonbury Festival hub where artists on the lineup are categorized into their respective stages, including the iconic Pyramid Stage. Additionally, there is a selection of Glasto-related audiobooks and podcasts available on Spotify, along with the official Glastonbury Festival playlist.

Emily Eavis, one of the organizers of Glastonbury, expressed her excitement about the integration with Spotify, stating that it will help festivalgoers discover the amazing acts on the lineup. By using the personalized lineup recommendations and exploring artists outside of your usual listening habits, you might just stumble upon your new favorite band.

Whether you’re attending Glastonbury in person or streaming it from home, Spotify’s partnership with the festival ensures that your music taste is covered. However, it’s also worth taking a chance on artists you’re unfamiliar with. After all, the joy of discovering something new outside of the algorithm is what makes music festivals so special. So, let the algorithm guide you, but also be open to unexpected surprises along the way.
