blank## Eden Games Launches Cosmic Royale, a Web3 Kart Racing Game

Game studio Eden Games, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has recently launched the beta version of Cosmic Royale. This new game is part of Animoca’s Motorverse, a Web3 ecosystem focused on digital vehicle ownership and motorsport culture.

## Eden Games’ Expertise in Racing Titles

Eden Games is renowned for its expertise in developing racing titles such as Gear.Club and V-Rally. With the launch of Cosmic Royale, the studio is venturing into Web3 gaming for the first time, integrating blockchain technology into their game development process. Throughout its history, Eden Games has achieved significant milestones, including selling over 15 million game boxes, achieving more than 75 million app downloads, and publishing 17 games. Some of their notable successes include Test Drive Unlimited 1 and 2, Gear.Club, and F1 Mobile Racing.

## Cosmic Royale’s Gameplay and Objectives

Cosmic Royale offers an exciting gameplay experience with 40-player matches, multiple rounds of racing, and obstacle navigation, leading up to a survival finale. The core gameplay revolves around the Cosmic Tournament, a head-to-head multiplayer event that combines kart racing with a “party royale” style objective of being the last player standing. To win the tournament, players must race through several rounds, qualifying for successive races until only one contestant remains.

## Wide-Reaching Beta Launch in the Web3 Gaming Space

For the beta version of Cosmic Royale, Eden Games has partnered with Animoca’s Mocaverse, granting access to the game for all Moca ID holders. This community consists of approximately one million users, making it a significant and wide-reaching beta launch in the Web3 gaming space. While all Moca ID holders can participate in the beta, regardless of whether they own a Mocaverse PFP (Profile Picture), PFP owners have the unique opportunity to use their PFP as their in-game driver.

## Rewards and Incentives for Beta Testers

During the beta period, high-scoring players in Cosmic Royale will earn Realm Points (RP), which are loyalty points for Moca ID holders. These RP can be deposited on the Mocaverse platform to multiply their value. By depositing certain amounts of RP daily, players can participate in three leaderboards. If they manage to rank on one of these leaderboards, their RP rewards will be multiplied. Eventually, these rewards will be converted into MOCA Coin, an omni-chain token launched by the MOCA Foundation.

## Personalization and Collaboration with PFP Collections

David Nadal, creative director at Eden Games, expressed excitement about the game’s launch and emphasized the ability for players to personalize their experience. Through a collaboration with various PFP collections, players can import their custom drivers and karts, making each racer’s story unique and memorable.

## Future Plans for Cosmic Royale

While the beta version of Cosmic Royale is currently only accessible to Moca ID holders via the Cosmic Royale website, the full launch version is set to release in the second quarter of 2024. Unlike the beta, the full version of Cosmic Royale will be open to all players, regardless of whether they own specific NFTs or fungible tokens. Additionally, it will be available for free on the Epic Games Store.

## The Benefits of Web3-Native Interoperability

Kenneth Shek, project lead for Mocaverse, highlighted the collaborative nature of Web3-native interoperability. He stated that Mocaverse was built to unite players worldwide, offering them a unified, inclusive, and diverse gaming ecosystem. The collaboration between Eden Games and Mocaverse exemplifies the advantages that Web3-native interoperability brings to the gaming industry.
