“Ferrari Introduces Warranty Extension Programs for Hybrid Models, Including Battery Replacement”

Ferrari, the renowned luxury sports car manufacturer, has recently introduced two new warranty extension programs specifically for their hybrid models. These schemes are designed to address a common concern among hybrid vehicle owners – the degradation of battery efficiency over time. By offering battery replacements at predetermined intervals, Ferrari aims to help owners maintain the resale value of their vehicles.

Under the new Warranty Extension Hybrid and Power Hybrid programs, Ferrari will replace the high-voltage battery packs (HVB) of covered cars in their eighth and 16th year of life. This commitment goes hand in hand with the existing five-year warranty on hybrid powertrain parts. The warranties are also transferable to subsequent owners, ensuring that the same level of performance and excellence is preserved throughout the vehicle’s lifespan.

Ferrari emphasizes that if there are future advancements in battery technology, the replacement HVB will be a state-of-the-art component that matches the performance of the original one. This reassures owners that their hybrid Ferraris will always benefit from the latest innovations in battery technology.

In addition to the battery replacement program, these warranty extension schemes also offer extended factory warranties on the entire vehicle, including major powertrain components. Owners can choose from packages that are renewable for two to four years. The cost of these programs is approximately 7,000 euros ($7,530) per year.

It’s worth noting that these warranty extension programs are not limited to the current hybrid models. They will also apply to Ferrari’s highly anticipated all-electric model, set to be released next year. This demonstrates Ferrari’s commitment to providing comprehensive support and peace of mind to their customers across their growing lineup of electrified vehicles.

Ferrari has been a pioneer in the luxury sports car market, known for their powerful petrol engines. However, they entered the hybrid-electric segment in 2019 with the SF90 Stradale, followed by the 296 GTB and 296 GTS. These models have received high acclaim for their performance and efficiency. Building on this success, Ferrari has announced plans to introduce their first fully electric vehicle by the end of 2025, positioning themselves at the forefront of the electric car revolution.

By offering these innovative warranty extension programs, Ferrari is not only addressing the practical concerns of hybrid vehicle ownership, but also demonstrating their dedication to customer satisfaction and long-term value. It’s a clear indication that Ferrari recognizes the evolving automotive landscape and is committed to providing exceptional support for their customers as they transition to electrified vehicles. With these programs in place, Ferrari owners can enjoy the excitement and prestige of owning a luxury sports car while having peace of mind about the longevity and resale value of their investment.
