Ford Introduces Midyear Price Adjustments for 2024 Mustang Mach-E, Reveals Trim Prices and Range Updates

Ford has made some significant changes to the pricing and features of its Mustang Mach-E for the 2024 model year. Earlier this year, Ford had lowered prices on the 2023 Mustang Mach-E in an effort to compete with Tesla and boost EV sales. However, in a surprising move, Ford announced a midyear price action that would increase prices on the 2024 models by $600 to $1,100 compared to the discounted 2023 variants.

Despite the price increase, the 2024 Mustang Mach-E still offers great value for its trims. The Select RWD starts at $41,990, while the Select AWD is priced at $45,490. The Premium RWD and AWD trims are priced at $45,990 and $48,990 respectively. The GT trim, which boasts impressive performance, starts at $56,990. The Rally trim, new for 2024, is priced at $60,990 and offers a discount of $1,000 compared to the other trims.

It’s worth noting that the entry-level Mach-E Select with the Extended Range battery has also seen a price increase of $1,195. This is likely due to the fact that it offers the least expensive way to get all-wheel drive and an additional 70 miles of range beyond the Standard pack’s 230-mile range.

In April, Ford announced several upgrades to the Mach-E lineup. The improvements include increased range for all variants and enhanced performance for the GT trim. The Premium trim now offers a 20-mile boost to 250 miles with the Standard battery and 320 miles with the extended-range unit. The GT trim can now travel up to 280 miles on a single charge. The new Mach-E Rally trim has a range of 265 miles.

Charging times have also been improved for the 2024 Mach-E models. The extended-range battery can now charge from 10 to 80 percent in just over 36 minutes, an improvement of 8.8 minutes compared to previous models. Standard-range models can achieve the same charge level in a little over 32 minutes, 5.7 minutes faster than before.

In terms of technology, the 2024 Mustang Mach-E features an updated infotainment system with a new interface and streamlined controls for USB and Bluetooth features. The settings screen has also been redesigned to make it easier for users to make changes without excessive scrolling.

While the 2024 Mustang Mach-E is not eligible for federal tax credits, Ford is currently offering incentives for this model year. These include $750 Bonus Cash, a 0% APR rate for 72 months when financing through Ford Credit, and no payments for 90 days. For those interested in the 2023 Mustang Mach-E, the Bonus Cash offer increases to $2,750.

Overall, the changes made to the 2024 Mustang Mach-E demonstrate Ford’s commitment to improving its EV offerings and staying competitive in the market. With increased range, improved charging times, and technology updates, the Mach-E continues to be a strong contender in the electric vehicle segment.
