Futureverse and Animoca Brands Partner to Accelerate Blockchain-Based Metaverse Technologies

blankFutureverse and Animoca Brands have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate the deployment of blockchain-based metaverse technologies. This collaboration aims to create a metaverse built on open standards, combining Futureverse’s focus on AI and the metaverse with Animoca Brands’ extensive ecosystem of blockchain-based products.

The partnership between Futureverse and Animoca Brands will enhance the reach and capabilities of Futureverse’s advanced metaverse technology stack. This includes leveraging Animoca Brands’ ecosystem of blockchain-based games and digital entertainment. The collaboration will also accelerate the growth of the Futureverse token ecosystem, which includes ROOT, ASTO, and SYLO tokens.

Futureverse has developed The Root Network, a user-friendly L1 blockchain optimized for seamless interoperability across the metaverse. This technology will be integrated into Animoca Brands’ portfolio of over 400 Web3 projects, further fostering the growth of the Futureverse token ecosystem.

At the core of the Futureverse Platform are AI and metaverse tools that blend the accessibility of Web2 with the power and interoperability of Web3. These tools include Pass, a digital passport for overseeing identity, data, collectibles, value, permissions, and status across different experiences; DOT (Dynamic Object Transfer), a tool for creating digital collectibles or game assets; and the Swappables and Wearables Engine for composing and decomposing collectibles.

Futureverse is also developing generative AI assets with DOC (Dynamic Object Creator) and JEN, a text-to-music platform. The company recently showcased its technology with Reebok Impact, an AI fashion experience that allows users to create custom digital sneakers through Instagram. Futureverse aims to make the complexities of Web3 technology invisible while maintaining the benefits of digital ownership.

In addition to Reebok, Futureverse has secured an exclusive partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery to bring the Ready Player One franchise to the metaverse. The Readyverse, developed by Readyverse Studios, will utilize the Futureverse Platform and The Root Network to provide a groundbreaking discovery experience within the open metaverse.

Yat Siu, executive chairman of Animoca Brands, expressed excitement about partnering with Futureverse and leveraging their innovative AI and metaverse technologies. Siu sees significant potential in accelerating the growth of Animoca Brands’ ecosystem through Futureverse’s advanced technology stack.

As part of the partnership, The Readyverse will collaborate with Animoca Brands’ Mocaverse to advance interoperability across experiences within the Moca Network, contributing to the expansion and scalability of the open metaverse.

The proposed transaction between Futureverse and Animoca Brands involves an equity swap valued at $5 million. This transaction is subject to definitive agreements and board approval from both companies and is expected to be completed within the next 2 months.
