Gamefam Launches $5 Million Fund to Support User-Generated Content Creators on Roblox and Fortnite

blankGamefam, a metaverse media company for GenZ and Gen Alpha, has announced a $5 million fund to support user-generated content (UGC) creators on platforms like Roblox and Fortnite. The fund is designed to provide seed funding, expert advice, and proprietary resources to creators with ambitious game ideas. In addition, Gamefam is committed to supporting underrepresented creators, with 25% of the funds reserved exclusively for investments in creators from diverse backgrounds.

The Gamefam Creator Fund offers funding ranging from $10,000 to $100,000, along with game design advice, roadmap planning, monetization guidance, access to Gamefam assets, marketing and influencer support, and analytics to optimize games in real time. By providing these resources, Gamefam aims to empower creators to build amazing experiences for their communities.

Joe Ferencz, CEO of Gamefam, expressed his pride in launching the Creator Fund and emphasized the company’s dedication to championing creators and creative innovation. He highlighted that Gamefam’s goal is to amplify the voices and visions of developers on platforms like Roblox and Fortnite.

To be eligible for the fund, creators must have a working prototype of their game or have launched games in the past. They must not be full-time employees of a video game company, and their participation should not conflict with any existing agreements. Entries will be reviewed by a roundtable of judges consisting of Gamefam employees, industry leaders from Gamefam’s advisory board and investor partners, and well-known UGC game creators.

Gamefam’s growth has been remarkable since its establishment in 2019. The company has built a massive audience and established partnerships with renowned brands, including Paramount, Warner Music Group, the NFL, Netflix, Mattel, Sony, Sega, Samsung, and Crunchyroll. Some of Gamefam’s top branded and original franchises include Sonic Speed Simulator, Twilight Daycare, Barbie DreamHouse Tycoon, and Deadpines: Zombie Survival.

The success stories of creators like Michael Galstyan and Matt Zanazzo illustrate the impact of Gamefam’s support. Galstyan, creator of War Tycoon, credited the resources provided by the Gamefam Creator Fund for catapulting his game to become the No. 1 game in its genre and a top 25 overall game on the platform. Zanazzo, creator of Infinite Zonewars, praised Gamefam for its wealth of knowledge and understanding of the UGC space, which helped his game thrive.

Gamefam’s emphasis on creativity sets it apart from other funds focused on technical boundaries or specific agendas. The company is looking for the most exciting and creative ideas that will delight players, regardless of graphics or resolution. By partnering with the creative community, Gamefam aims to move at the speed of platforms like Roblox, where new releases occur frequently.

Overall, Gamefam’s Creator Fund represents a significant opportunity for UGC creators to receive financial support, expert guidance, and access to valuable resources. The fund’s commitment to diversity and its focus on fostering creativity make it an appealing option for ambitious creators looking to make their mark in the dynamic gaming industry.
