blankDonation from Citadel Founder and CEO Supports Veterans’ Job Placement

In a significant move, the Call of Duty Endowment, an organization that finds high-paying jobs for military veterans, has received its largest-ever private donation of $2.5 million. The generous gift comes from Kenneth C. Griffin, the founder and CEO of Citadel. Griffin’s donation will support job placement for over 4,000 veterans. This contribution aligns with Griffin’s longstanding support for organizations that assist service members, veterans, and their families.

Griffin Catalyst and the Call of Duty Endowment share a common goal of advancing innovative solutions to critical challenges. The endowment’s effectiveness in placing veterans into high-quality roles complements Griffin Catalyst’s strategic approach. Griffin’s civic engagement initiative partners with high-impact organizations to bring about data-driven and timely solutions.

The Call of Duty Endowment is also celebrating Military Appreciation Month and its 15th anniversary by launching a new in-game challenge called U Assist Veterans. Presented by USAA, this challenge will allocate $1 million to veterans’ employment. Players can participate in the challenge and earn in-game rewards from May 8-22. Activision Blizzard has made a total donation of $1 million to the Endowment to help place veterans into high-quality jobs.

In addition to the donation, the endowment has introduced the Call of Duty Endowment Knight Recon: Tracer Pack in various Call of Duty games, including Modern Warfare III, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile. This pack features two operator skins, tracer weapon blueprints, and more. It is now available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, iOS, and Android.

As a special thank you to U.S. military and veterans for their service, the endowment and USAA are offering free Call of Duty Endowment Knight Recon: Tracer Packs.

Furthermore, the Call of Duty Endowment has launched the first endowment pack on Call of Duty: Mobile, called the Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E.) Regulator Pack. This pack includes the pioneering female operator, Splicer, and features a vehicle skin, calling card, and other items.

All of the net proceeds from these in-game packs will go towards the Endowment’s mission of placing veterans into high-quality jobs. Since its inception, the Endowment has successfully placed over 125,000 veterans into jobs, creating more than $7 billion in economic value for veterans and their families through salaries.

The Endowment’s track record is impressive, with the average cost per placement being $618 in 2023. This is significantly lower than the cost per placement of the U.S. government’s efforts.

In conclusion, Kenneth C. Griffin’s generous donation to the Call of Duty Endowment will have a significant impact on veterans’ job placement. The additional in-game challenges and packs further support the Endowment’s mission and provide opportunities for players to contribute to this worthy cause. The Endowment’s success in placing veterans into high-quality jobs is a testament to its effectiveness and the importance of supporting our military veterans.
