“Genesis Unveils Exciting Updates to Best-Selling GV70 SUV for 2026”

Genesis is set to release an updated version of its popular SUV, the GV70, for the 2026 model year. The changes include subtle exterior design updates and additional tech features in the cabin.

Starting with the exterior, the updated GV70 features small design details that differentiate it from the current model. The most noticeable change is the new grille, which now boasts a dual-weave mesh finish with bright accents. The headlights also receive a redesigned look, and the front bumper is equipped with a wider air dam and a skid plate-inspired trim. Moving to the back, the lights have been redesigned to include turn signals, and the roof-mounted spoiler now houses the rear-view camera and the camera that transmits footage to the digital center mirror.

In terms of wheels, the GV70 now offers newly-designed 19-inch wheels with a Dark Hyper Silver finish and five split spokes. However, buyers in select markets have the option to opt for the Sport package, which includes a double-layer grille, larger front air intakes, a dark-chrome-finished rear diffuser, and 21-inch wheels. Sport models also come with a flat-bottom steering wheel and standout orange stitching.

Inside the cabin, the most significant update is the integration of the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system into a single, large OLED screen on the dashboard. This 27-inch screen provides a sleek and futuristic look while offering a seamless user experience. Additionally, Genesis has redesigned the center console, with touch-sensitive buttons and a volume knob placed in the upper part, while climate control buttons are moved down and grouped into a separate touch-sensitive display.

While no mechanical updates have been mentioned yet, Genesis has assured that it will unveil full specifications in the coming weeks. Currently, the GV70 comes with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine turbocharged to produce 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. There is also the option for a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine, delivering 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. Both engine options come with all-wheel drive as standard.

The updated GV70 will hit the South Korean market in May 2024, with the American market to follow for the 2026 model year. Genesis enthusiasts in the United States can expect the model to arrive in showrooms soon, though an exact date for the opening of the order book has yet to be announced.

Overall, the updates to the Genesis GV70 showcase the brand’s commitment to continually improving its vehicles. With sleek exterior changes, advanced tech features, and a refined interior, the updated GV70 is set to turn heads and provide an enhanced driving experience for customers worldwide.
