GMC and Chevy Showcase AT4 and Trail Boss Versions of Sierra EV and Silverado EV Pickup Trucks in Spy Photos

GMC and Chevy have been diligently working on the AT4 and Trail Boss versions of their Sierra EV and Silverado EV pickup trucks, and we finally have some spy photos that give us a sneak peek of what to expect. These pictures reveal some exciting details about the body changes and provide a close-up view of the tires, offering insights into their size and type.

When it comes to off-road trim levels, there are some clear indicators that set these trucks apart. Both the Sierra and Silverado feature vibrant red recovery hooks upfront, showcasing their rugged capabilities. However, apart from these hooks, there aren’t many noticeable differences between the exterior of these trucks and their base models. The front bumpers maintain a similar profile, while the GMC boasts body-colored fender flares with integrated marker lights, and the Silverado is equipped with natural black plastic flares. Additionally, both trucks come with standard side steps, and their rear bumpers appear unchanged. Notably, they also share the MultiPro/Multi-Flex tailgate, which adds versatility and functionality to the vehicles.

The most significant change in these off-road versions can be observed in their wheels and tires. While each truck has its unique wheel design, they share the same dimensions. Sporting 18-inch wheels with 285/75R18 tires, these trucks are equipped with tires that are just under 35 inches in diameter – making them a perfect fit for any enthusiastic off-roader. Interestingly, despite their massive size, these tires don’t appear overly large on the trucks. The chosen tires for these models are Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT all-terrains. It’s worth noting that the gas-powered versions come with slightly narrower mud-terrain tires (275) as standard.

In terms of pricing, both the Sierra EV AT4 and Silverado Trail Boss will likely fall below the range-topping first edition models currently offered by both brands. These first edition models range from $95,000 to $110,000, depending on the specifications. The Silverado WT, which starts at just under $80,000, sets a baseline for the pricing of these off-road versions. It is expected that the Trail Boss and Sierra EV AT4 will be priced somewhere above this, possibly in the range of $85,000 to $90,000. As for the specifications, there is still some mystery surrounding them. However, there is speculation that the Silverado will feature the powertrain from the WT model – dual motors generating 510 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque. On the other hand, the GMC version might differentiate itself by offering more powerful motors, producing a whopping 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque – though this is purely speculative at this point. Both trucks are likely to feature a 204-kWh battery pack, although there are rumors suggesting that GMC might introduce a smaller and more affordable 170-kWh pack as an optional choice.

With both trucks looking incredibly close to being production-ready, we can expect more information to be revealed in the near future. The GMC Sierra EV AT4 and the Chevy Silverado Trail Boss are set to captivate off-road enthusiasts who crave powerful electric trucks capable of tackling any terrain with ease.
