“Honda Introduces E-Clutch Technology to CB and CBR Range With Styling Updates and More”

Honda’s motorcycle-building division is making exciting changes to its CB and CBR range, offering the convenient E-Clutch technology in the American market for the first time. The E-Clutch system uses electric motors to allow riders to shift up or down without pulling the clutch lever. Despite this automation, the rider still remains in control with the operation of the shifter. Honda emphasizes that the E-Clutch system simplifies and enhances the riding experience for both beginners and experienced riders, while still maintaining the option to manually operate the clutch lever.

As part of the updates, Honda introduces the 2024 CB560R and the 2024 CBR650R featuring the E-Clutch system, as well as various styling enhancements. These models also come with LED lighting and a redesigned TFT digital instrument cluster to ensure a modern and aesthetic appeal.

The 2025 CB and CBR range also includes the CBR1000RR, the CBR600RR, and the CB300R, although Honda did not mention the CB500R. However, the most anticipated addition to the range is the updated CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, making its American debut as a 2025 model. This superbike benefits from Honda’s track experience, incorporating improvements such as a higher compression ratio, shorter gear ratios, updated Öhlins suspension parts, and revised Brembo brakes. It is powered by a 1.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 214 horsepower at a thrilling 14,000 rpm.

For those interested in pricing, Honda provides the following details for the updated CB and CBR range:
