How to Use the Walkie Talkie Feature on Apple Watch

Using the Walkie Talkie feature on your Apple Watch can be a fun and convenient way to communicate with friends and loved ones directly from your wrist. However, before you can start using this feature, you’ll need to invite someone to connect with you.

To invite a friend, open the Walkie Talkie app on your Apple Watch. From there, scroll through your contacts and tap on the name of the person you want to invite. It’s important to note that both you and the other person need to have Apple Watch devices in order to use Walkie Talkie.

Once you’ve sent the invitation, make sure the other person accepts it. You can repeat this process with as many friends as you want. If you ever want to remove a contact, simply swipe left on their name and press “X”.

Now that you have someone to talk to, it’s time to start a Walkie Talkie session. Open the Walkie Talkie app on your Apple Watch again and tap on the name of the friend you want to communicate with. To speak, simply press and hold the “Talk” button. If you have accessibility needs and can’t push to talk, you can enable the “Tap to Talk” feature by going to Settings > Accessibility > Walkie Talkie.

It’s important to remember that you have control over who can reach you through Walkie Talkie. If you want some privacy or don’t want to be disturbed, you can change your status to “Unavailable”. You can do this by opening the Walkie Talkie app and turning off the feature, clicking on the Walkie Talkie symbol in the control center, or by turning on theater mode.
