2025 Land Rover Defender Updates and Pricing Revealed
The 2025 Land Rover Defender is receiving some exciting updates for the new model year. One of the most notable changes is the addition of a new captain’s chairs option on the three-row 130 model. This new seating arrangement offers a more luxurious and comfortable experience for passengers.
Previously, the second row of the Defender 130 only had a bench seat as the default option. However, with the new Captain Chairs Pack, customers now have the choice to opt for individual captain’s chairs instead. This brings the total seating capacity down to seven from eight, but provides enhanced comfort and convenience. The captain’s chairs are heated and cooled, feature armrests on both sides, and come with winged headrests. The space between them is left open, allowing for easier access to the third row. Additionally, a pair of cupholders has been added just behind the front center console to replace the fold-down armrest/cupholder from the middle seat of the bench.
In addition to the seating updates, Land Rover has also simplified the specification process for the 2025 Defender. It has moved several individual options into preset “packs,” which helps reduce ordering complexity for customers. Although Land Rover had already offered various packs in previous model years, they are now going even further with this strategy for the 2025 lineup.
While these updates are exciting, there is one more variation of the Defender that has been unveiled but hasn’t been confirmed for the U.S. market yet. Land Rover recently introduced a Sedona Edition of the Defender 110 in Europe. This special edition features a striking Sedona Red exterior and unique accents throughout the car. It showcases Land Rover’s commitment to offering exclusive options to cater to different tastes and preferences.
As for pricing, Land Rover has announced the starting prices for the 2025 Defender lineup. The two-door 90 now starts at $58,375, which is an increase of $500 from the previous model year. The four-door 110 starts at $62,275, up by $200, while the three-row 130 is priced at $71,175, seeing a $600 increase. These prices reflect the premium experience and capabilities the Defender offers.
Customers can expect to see the 2025 Land Rover Defender models arriving at dealerships in late summer this year. With its rugged design, advanced features, and now improved seating options, the Defender continues to be a sought-after vehicle for adventure enthusiasts and luxury SUV lovers alike.
