Introducing the 2025 Mini Cooper Four-Door: More Space, More Power

Introducing the 2025 Mini Cooper: More Space, More Power, More Options

The Mini Cooper has always been known for its compact size and iconic design. However, Mini is not one to rest on its laurels, and they have been launching a series of new models since last September. One of their latest offerings is the 2025 Mini Cooper four-door (or five-door, depending on your location) with an internal combustion powertrain.

Compared to the two-door Cooper and Cooper S that were revealed earlier this year, the four-door version boasts a longer wheelbase and more length, providing additional space for second-row passengers and cargo. The rear of the car has been noticeably widened, allowing for more comfortable three-up accommodations.

In terms of cargo capacity, the Mini Cooper four-door offers 9.7 cubic feet with the second row up and an impressive 32.7 cubic feet with the second row folded down, according to European measurements. This means you’ll have plenty of room to store all your belongings, whether you’re heading out for a weekend getaway or simply running errands around town.

When it comes to performance, the U.S.-market Cooper S four-door is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 201 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. These numbers are 21 horsepower and 15 pound-feet of torque better than the previous generation Mini Cooper’s turbo 2.0-liter engine. The increased power translates to a thrilling driving experience, offering both speed and agility on the road.

If you’re looking for a more affordable option, Mini will also be introducing a Cooper C trim in January 2025. It will feature the same engine as the Cooper S but with a lower output, making it a budget-friendly choice for those who still want to experience the Mini Cooper’s iconic style and performance.

International markets will have the option of a turbocharged three-cylinder engine as the entry-level motor. With 154 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque, this engine provides a significant upgrade from the outgoing 1.5-liter three-cylinder in the base U.S.-market Mini, which only produces 134 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. No matter where you are in the world, you can expect better performance and improved driving dynamics.

Mini is also offering a variety of trim levels and customization options to cater to different tastes and preferences. In Europe, the trim steps include Essential, Classic, Favored, and JCW. These trims come in a choice of 11 body colors and three contrasting roof treatments. The Favored theme even offers the option of a multi-hued roof with a three-color gradient. However, it’s worth noting that in the U.S., buyers will only have access to Classic, Favored, and JCW trims.

When it comes to wheels, U.S. buyers can choose between 17- and 18-inch aero wheels, which add a touch of sportiness to the overall design. Unfortunately, the 16-inch wheels available in other markets won’t be available in the U.S.

Overall, the 2025 Mini Cooper four-door offers more space, more power, and more options than ever before. Whether you’re a fan of Mini’s compact design or someone who appreciates a thrilling driving experience, this new model is sure to impress. With its striking design, improved performance, and customization options, the Mini Cooper remains a top contender in the compact car segment.
