Audi Celebrates 25 Years of the RS4 with a Limited Edition Model
Audi is commemorating the 25th anniversary of the original RS4 with the release of a limited edition variant, the Audi RS4 Avant Edition 25 Years. This special edition model is limited to just 250 examples, with only 50 available in the UK. Priced from £115,800, it is the most powerful variant of the RS4 to date.
Enhanced Performance and Track Improvements
The Audi RS4 Avant Edition 25 Years boasts an impressive power increase of 20bhp over the standard RS4, thanks to its 2.9-litre V6 twin-turbocharged engine. With a total output of 464bhp and 443lb ft of torque, this limited edition model can accelerate from 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds, a significant improvement of 0.4 seconds compared to the standard model. Its top speed has also increased to 186mph.
To enhance its performance on the track, Audi engineers have made several improvements to the RS4. The car is equipped with the normally optional Quattro Sport Differential for improved handling. The negative camber on the front axle has been increased by 2 degrees, and stiffer control arms have been installed to enhance grip and handling in fast corners. Additionally, a firmly fixed subframe on the rear axle provides more precise suspension feedback. The RS4 Avant Edition 25 Years comes standard with RS ceramic brakes for optimal stopping power.
Distinctive Design Elements
Visually, the limited edition model is nearly identical to the standard RS4 Avant. However, it features the iconic Imola Yellow paint, a tribute to the original RS4. Optional paint colors include Nardo Grey and Mythos Black. The roof rails have been removed to create a sleeker silhouette, and gloss black details have been added to the side windows and badging. The car is also equipped with a matt black sports exhaust for a more aggressive look.
Luxurious Interior and Track-Ready Features
Inside the cabin, the Audi RS4 Avant Edition 25 Years features yellow stitching throughout, including on the Alcantara bucket seats, suede steering wheel, drive selector, and center console. This design element pays homage to the 2001 RS4 Sport. Buyers of this limited edition model also receive a selection of tires, including Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires for everyday use and a set of semi-slick P Zero Trofeo RS tires for track use.
Limited Availability and Pricing
The Audi RS4 Avant Edition 25 Years will be built alongside the Audi A4, Audi S4, and Audi RS4 at the Ingolstadt production site. It will be available for purchase from June 2024, with a starting price of £115,880 before options. With only 250 examples being produced worldwide and just 50 allocated for the UK market, this limited edition model is sure to be highly sought after by Audi enthusiasts and collectors alike.
