Jynxzi dominates Twitch viewership in February, surpassing Q2-Q4 2023 statistics according to StreamElements.

blankTwitch viewership remained strong in February, according to StreamElements’ latest State of the Stream report. Despite the month being two days shorter than January, fans still watched a total of 1.738 billion hours, which was only an 8.6% decrease from the previous month. The daily average viewership of 60.0 million hours watched in February surpassed all months since Q2 2023, except for January. This indicates that Twitch is starting off 2024 with strong performance in Q1.

According to Or Perry, cofounder of StreamElements, Twitch’s daily hours watched are a more accurate reflection of the platform’s momentum because overall hours watched can be affected by the number of days in a month. With February’s viewership almost on par with January and higher than the previous three quarters, this year is expected to see increased engagement if Twitch maintains this level.

One notable highlight is Jynxzi, who secured the top spot as the most-watched streamer for hours watched in February. Jynxzi’s co-stream of the Streamer Awards contributed to his success. It is worth mentioning that women rarely make it to the top 10 lists, but RevedTV reached the second spot for average concurrent viewers by co-hosting Germany’s Stream Awards.

In terms of game categories, most of Twitch’s top categories from January maintained their positions in the top 10 despite a decline in hours watched. Riot Games’ Valorant saw the biggest gains, with a 54% increase compared to January. Esports events played a significant role in driving viewership for games like Counter-Strike, Dota 2, and Apex Legends. Apex Legends experienced the largest growth, with a 43% increase thanks to the restart of the Apex Legends Global Series. Although Helldivers 2 was February’s buzziest launch, it failed to make it into the top 10 most-watched categories.

When it comes to Twitch creators, Jynxzi topped the charts in February, experiencing a breakthrough as the most-watched streamer of the year. The majority of Jynxzi’s viewership came from Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, where he accounted for over a quarter of the game’s viewership in February. His participation in the Six Invitational 2024 and co-streaming of The Streamer Awards contributed to his success. Brazilian League of Legends analyst Baiano also made it into the top 10 with increased hours watched, thanks to his coverage of the North American LCS and Brazil’s CBLOL.

In terms of average concurrent viewers, RevedTV and noizemasta stood out despite having fewer broadcast hours. RevedTV saw a significant boost in average audience size, reaching second place with over 93,000 concurrent viewers during her six-hour co-stream of Germany’s Streamer Awards. Noizemasta, a Korean artist and streamer, reached over 50,000 concurrent viewers during a two-hour stream.

Overall, Twitch’s viewership in February remained strong, and the platform is poised for continued success in 2024. With top streamers like Jynxzi and rising stars like RevedTV, Twitch continues to be the go-to platform for gaming enthusiasts and industry leaders alike.
