Lancia Unveils the Ypsilon HF: A Hot-Hatch with Motorsports Roots

Lancia, known for its racing heritage and iconic rally cars, is making a comeback with the unveiling of their new Ypsilon HF. This hot-hatch version of the standard Ypsilon not only brings back the thrill of a racy Lancia but also introduces a motorsports version for FIA Group Rally4.

The Ypsilon HF shares its powertrain with the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce, featuring a single electric motor that powers the front axle. However, unlike the standard Ypsilon which produces 154 horsepower, the Ypsilon HF pushes that number up to an impressive 237 hp. This upgrade allows the Ypsilon HF to accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 5.8 seconds, making it 2.9 seconds faster than its non-performance counterpart.
