The 2023 Toyota Mirai fuel cell electric vehicle has seen a significant drop in price recently, making it an attractive option for buyers. Toyota, in an effort to clear inventory and boost sales, offered a whopping $40,000 in APR Subvention Cash off the top trim 2023 Mirai Limited. With an original sticker price of about $68,000, this brought the price of the Limited trim below $30,000. Additionally, Toyota provided a hydrogen fuel refilling card with $15,000 on it, valid for six years, and a 0% APR financing offer from Toyota Financial Services. As a result, buyers could potentially own a Mirai for just $13,000 before taxes and fees.
But the deals don’t stop there. A recent dealer bulletin revealed that the 2024 Mirai is also eligible for substantial savings. Through the APR Cash offer, buyers can receive $33,000 off the upper Limited trim or $25,000 off the base XLE trim. With these discounts applied, the Limited trim would come down to approximately $35,000, while the XLE trim would be around $26,000. In the past three years, Southern California Toyota dealers managed to sell between 2,000 and 3,000 Mirais annually. However, in the first six months of this year, less than 250 units have been sold. Similarly, Hyundai sold 408 Nexos in 2022, 241 in 2023, but the number for this year is currently less than 80 units.
