“Maserati Unveils One-of-a-Kind GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello Celebrating Italian Cars and Wine”

Maserati, the renowned Italian car manufacturer, is commemorating two iconic Italian exports – cars and wine – with a unique version of their electric GranCabrio Folgore. This exclusive convertible, named Tignanello, was specially crafted by Maserati’s Fuoriserie department to honor 50 years of a renowned Italian wine called Tignanello. Marchesi Antinori, an Italian wine company, commissioned the creation of this one-of-a-kind vehicle.

The inspiration for the Tignanello doesn’t stop at its name; Maserati’s designers drew inspiration from vineyards when designing this masterpiece. The most striking feature is the custom paint job, an exquisite shade of red called Terra di Tignanello. This unique color was created exclusively for this vehicle. To add a touch of contrast, the Tignanello boasts flat-black 20-inch wheels, gloss-black brake calipers, and a black soft top.

Inside the car, the vineyard theme continues with elaborate details. The seats are upholstered with a combination of beige leather and burgundy Vegea. What makes Vegea special is that it is a biomaterial derived from grape stalks, skins, and pips – a reminder that you’re sitting on wine. The seat stripes mimic the rows of vines in a vineyard, while the dark briar wood trim is inspired by the burned printing on oak barrels used to age Tignanello wine. For an added touch of elegance, some trim pieces feature lasered historical details about the wine, albeit in Italian.

Powering the Tignanello is an impressive electric system consisting of three electric motors and a T-shaped 92.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. This electrifying combination delivers a staggering 750 horsepower and 995 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels. With these capabilities, Maserati estimates that the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, making it as exhilarating as a fine Italian vintage.

For enthusiasts who appreciate both Italian cars and wine, there is an opportunity to own the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello. This extraordinary vehicle will be auctioned off on July 14 at the Festival Napa Valley Arts for All Gala in California, with all proceeds going to charity. While the regular-production GranCabrio Folgore starts at around $205,000, it is expected that the one-off Tignanello will fetch a considerably higher price due to its exclusivity and unique design.

In summary, Maserati’s Tignanello is a celebration of Italy’s rich heritage in both automobile craftsmanship and winemaking. The attention to detail, from the custom paint color to the vineyard-inspired interior features, showcases Maserati’s dedication to creating an exceptional and captivating driving experience. The fusion of art, technology, and sustainability in the Tignanello demonstrates Maserati’s commitment to pushing boundaries and creating vehicles that transcend traditional expectations. Ultimately, this exclusive car not only appeals to driving enthusiasts but also showcases the craftsmanship and cultural significance behind two of Italy’s most beloved exports.
