Neta Unveils the Neta X Small SUV in Thailand and Malaysia

Neta, the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has officially launched the Neta X small SUV in Thailand and Malaysia. This electric vehicle crossover has been specifically modified for right-hand drive and further customized for the regional market. The Neta X is an upgraded version of the original Neta U, which underwent a makeover in 2023. With its sleek design and advanced features, the Neta X aims to attract customers in Thailand and Malaysia’s growing electric vehicle market.

Pricing and Variants

The Neta X is priced at 99,800 yuan (approximately 13,750 USD) in China. However, there are variations in pricing for the Thai and Malaysian markets. In Thailand, customers can choose from two different variants of the Neta X, with prices ranging from 739,000 baht to 799,000 baht (approximately 20,580 USD to 22,250 USD). Meanwhile, in Malaysia, customers have three variants to choose from, with prices ranging from 119,888 ringgit to 135,888 ringgit (approximately 25,750 USD to 29,180 USD). It is worth noting that the official pricing in China is slightly lower, ranging from 99,800 to 124,800 yuan (or 13,750 to 17,200 USD).

Impressive Features

The Neta X offered in Thailand and Malaysia comes with some impressive features. It is equipped with a right-hand drive system, a 15.6-inch floating central control screen, and an 8.9-inch floating instrument panel. These features enhance the overall driving experience and provide easy access to navigation, internet music, multilingual voice control, and smartphone app-based car control. Additionally, the Neta X offers an L2-level driver-aid system, which adds an extra layer of safety and convenience for drivers.

Powerful Performance and Range

The Neta X in Thailand and Malaysia is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 120 kW and a peak torque of 210 Nm. This powerful motor ensures excellent performance on the road. The Neta X is equipped with either a 51.8 kWh or a 62 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, which provides a WLTP range of 323 km or 410 km, respectively. This impressive range makes the Neta X a reliable option for daily commuting and long-distance travel.

Production and Expansion Plans

Horizon Auto’s Neta brand began production of its debut model, the Neta V-II (known as the Neta Aya in China), in Thailand at the end of last year. The same manufacturer is responsible for producing the newly released Neta X. The Thailand plant is currently delivering vehicles to Malaysia and Thailand, and there are plans to expand production to other ASEAN countries, such as Indonesia and Vietnam.

Neta’s Commitment to the Electric Vehicle Market

Neta has shown its commitment to the electric vehicle market in Thailand and beyond. Despite limited availability, the Neta V, the brand’s lone model, was the second-best-selling electric brand in Thailand last year, selling 12,777 EVs. Neta has ambitious plans to open 500 foreign sales and service locations by 2024 and expand its worldwide sales network to include 50 nations. With its innovative designs and competitive pricing, Neta aims to become a major player in the global electric vehicle market.

In conclusion, the Neta X’s launch in Thailand and Malaysia marks an exciting development in the electric vehicle industry. With its right-hand drive system, advanced features, powerful performance, and impressive range, the Neta X is well-positioned to attract customers in these growing markets. As Neta continues to expand its production and sales network, it is clear that the company is dedicated to establishing itself as a leading player in the global electric vehicle market.
