“New Nissan Qashqai Goes on Sale with Bold Design and Technical Upgrades”

The Nissan Qashqai has undergone a refresh, offering a bold new look and a range of technical upgrades. With a starting price of £30,135, the family crossover has seen a £3000 increase due to the removal of the entry-level Visia trim. Despite the price rise, Nissan is confident that the updated Qashqai can regain its title as the UK’s best-selling car. One of the reasons for this confidence is the car’s new-look front end, featuring sharper lines and an aggressive design inspired by Japanese samurai helmets.

The new front-end design, created with the help of AI, brings the Qashqai in line with the electric Nissan Ariya and sets a base for future design direction. Notable changes include new headlights and daytime-running lights split into three distinct elements. The rear end also features new LED lights to match the front and a reprofiled lower bumper for a sportier appearance.

In addition to the new look, the update focused on improving efficiency and rolling refinement. The Qashqai now boasts thicker windows and more aluminum panels, making it 60kg lighter and reducing wind noise at higher speeds. The crossover remains exclusively electrified, offering mild-hybrid petrol options with 138bhp and 148bhp, as well as the 187bhp e-Power full hybrid.

Inside the Qashqai, the digital interfaces have been significantly upgraded to enhance graphic quality and processing times. The infotainment system now runs on Google’s Android Auto operating system on higher trim levels, allowing certain apps to run natively and be displayed across the instrument panel. The security system has also been boosted, with the Nissan Connect app providing live tracking and the ability to alert authorities in case of theft.

The updated Qashqai lineup introduces a new trim level called N-Design, featuring Alcantara accents. Prices start at £30,135 for the Acenta Premium trim and go up to £38,875 for the top-of-the-line Tekna+. For buyers opting for the e-Power model, pricing is increased by £1975 across all levels.

With its striking new design, improved efficiency, and upgraded technology, the refreshed Nissan Qashqai aims to reclaim its position as the UK’s best-selling car. The combination of style, performance, and advanced features make it an attractive choice for those in the market for a family crossover.
