“Nvidia Unveils RTX Technology for AI Assistants and Digital Humans on GeForce RTX AI Laptops”

Nvidia is making significant strides in the world of AI with its new RTX technology. During CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote at the Computex trade show in Taiwan, Nvidia unveiled Project G-Assist, an AI assistant tech demo that provides context-aware help for PC games and apps. This technology aims to transform gaming and in-app experiences by offering gaming strategies, analyzing replays, and assisting with creative workflows. Project G-Assist takes voice or text inputs from players, along with contextual information from the game screen, and runs the data through AI vision models to generate tailored responses. The AI assistant can also configure the player’s gaming system for optimal performance and efficiency.

Additionally, Nvidia introduced the first PC-based Nvidia NIM (Nvidia inference microservices) for the Nvidia ACE digital human platform. This technology enables developers to reduce deployment times from weeks to minutes and delivers high-quality inference running locally on devices for natural language understanding, speech synthesis, facial animation, and more.

Nvidia is also working with Microsoft to bring new generative AI capabilities to Windows native and web apps. The collaboration will provide developers with easy API access to GPU-accelerated small language models (SLMs) that enable retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capabilities. These AI capabilities will be accelerated by Nvidia RTX GPUs, providing users with fast and responsive AI experiences across the Windows ecosystem.

To help developers build application-specific AI models that run on PCs, Nvidia is introducing the RTX AI Toolkit. This suite of tools and SDKs allows for model customization, optimization, and deployment on RTX AI PCs. Developers can customize pretrained models using open-source tools, quantize models to consume less RAM, and optimize models for peak performance across the RTX GPU lineups. The result is up to 4x faster performance compared to pretrained models.

Nvidia is also integrating RTX AI acceleration into apps for content creators, modders, and video enthusiasts. They have introduced RTX acceleration for Stable Diffusion user interfaces, ComfyUI, and the RTX Remix modding platform. The RTX Remix Toolkit has already been used by thousands of modders to create over 130 RTX remasters, and Nvidia is making the toolkit open source to allow for even more stunning RTX remasters.

Furthermore, Nvidia’s RTX Video, an AI-powered super-resolution feature, is now available as an SDK to all developers. This feature helps with upscaling, sharpening, compression artifact reduction, and high-dynamic range conversion in video files. It will soon be integrated into video editing software such as Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve and Wondershare Filmora.

Overall, Nvidia is making significant advancements in the AI space, with its RTX technology powering AI assistants, digital humans, and various applications in gaming, content creation, and video editing. With the introduction of the RTX AI Toolkit and collaborations with Microsoft and other software partners, Nvidia is empowering developers to create customized AI models that run efficiently on RTX AI PCs. These advancements are set to revolutionize the gaming and creative industries, providing users with immersive experiences and improved performance.
