Peugeot Chooses Electrification Over Expansion of PSE Range
Peugeot has made the decision not to expand its high-performance PSE range beyond the hot 508 model. The company’s CEO, Linda Jackson, stated that the focus is on the brand’s drive towards full electrification. Regarding the need for a road-going model with a direct link to the 9X8 campaign and its complex four-wheel-drive hybrid powertrain, Jackson mentioned that it is still under debate. While she acknowledged that having a road car could help build awareness, engineering and durability can be achieved without one. She emphasized that no decision has been made but did not dismiss the possibility.
