The acquisition is expected to be finalized in September.

PTW intends to utilize Ghostpunch’s expertise in middleware technology and quality assurance (QA) to develop AI-based QA automations for its clients. Additionally, the studio plans to integrate Ghostpunch’s art integration capabilities with its own AI art-creation technology.

She highlighted Ghostpunch’s outstanding retainment rate of over 90% and its reputation as a standout studio in the industry. Kirkham believes that this aligns perfectly with PTW’s mission to deliver exceptional development services to partners worldwide.

As part of the acquisition, several members of Ghostpunch’s staff will be transitioning to PTW. Hugh Falk, the executive director of Ghostpunch, will become the site head at PTW’s Fort Lauderdale office. Alejandro Garcia-Tunon, the director of technology, will take on the role of director of co-dev. Devon Browne, the animation director, will become PTW’s senior animation manager under Falk’s supervision. Rick Daniels, the director of operations, will assume the position of head of sales for art and co-dev, reporting to PTW’s Chief Revenue Officer Kaley Hurst.

Rick Daniels expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating that it is a significant milestone for the studio. He believes that PTW’s global resources and expertise will greatly enhance their game development capabilities. Daniels also mentioned the studio’s intention to expand PTW’s co-dev line of business to serve clients worldwide.

In conclusion, PTW’s acquisition of Ghostpunch Games signifies a strategic move to strengthen their position in the gaming industry. By integrating Ghostpunch’s expertise and capabilities, PTW aims to enhance their services and expand their reach to a global clientele. This acquisition demonstrates PTW’s commitment to delivering top-notch game development services and solidifies their position as a leader in the industry.
