Renault is preparing to launch the Mobilize Duo in the UK, the spiritual successor to the popular Twizy electric vehicle. This news was confirmed through a job listing on LinkedIn, which advertised a position for a London-based product manager for the Duo and its cargo van variant, the Bento. The product manager will be responsible for managing the sales process, pricing, and tracking the performance of competitors such as the Citroën Ami and Ami Cargo.
Although the hiring process is still ongoing, it is expected that the Duo and Bento will not be available in the UK until next year. A spokesperson for Renault stated that plans for the launch are still being developed and will be announced in due course. This marks an evolution for Mobilize, as it transitions from managing financial responsibilities for the Renault Group to becoming its own brand.
The Mobilize Duo is essentially a direct successor to the Renault Twizy, featuring compact proportions and a tandem seating layout. It is designed to be highly maneuverable, with three Duos capable of parking side by side in a regular parking space. The Duo also boasts Lamborghini-style scissor doors, making it easier to enter and exit in tight spots.
