RML Group, a British engineering outfit with a long history in motorsport, is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the unveiling of four new projects. Founded in 1984, RML has been involved in various motorsport series and has worked with prestigious brands such as Aston Martin, Nissan, and Chevrolet. In recent years, RML has also gained recognition for its exclusive road cars, including the Aston Martin Vulcan and the Nissan Juke-R.
The first of RML’s anniversary projects, codenamed P40, is a track day car that builds on the company’s championship-winning experience. It features Formula 1-inspired aerodynamic enhancements and promises new levels of speed and handling for track enthusiasts. RML’s Bespoke division is also set to reveal a modernized version of the original Aston Martin V8 Vantage. While maintaining the design of the 1977 coupe, the car will feature a lightweight carbon fiber body and modern mechanicals, making it one of the world’s finest grand tourers.
One of the most anticipated unveilings from RML is the P39 package, a radical upgrade for the Porsche 911. Developed by RML’s Engineering division, the package aims to enhance the engine and aerodynamic performance of the 911, taking inspiration from top-flight Le Mans Hypercars. While pricing and availability for the P39 package have not been announced, similar upgrades from other companies have significantly increased the list price of the 911.
Additionally, RML’s Power electronics division is preparing to showcase its VarEVolt battery technology. This innovative battery system has already proven itself at the Nürburgring and is installed in a current Goodwood hill climb record holder. RML Group CEO Michael Mallock expressed his excitement about the upcoming product launches and emphasized the company’s focus on the future.
