Second World Games Launches Fantasy Troop, a Web3 Fantasy League Integrated into Second World: New Era Game

blankSecond World Games, founded by Carlos Cameo and Íñigo Cavestany, has announced the launch of its Fantasy Troop, a fantasy league for Web3 gaming that is integrated into their game, Second World: New Era. The company aims to address the lack of fun and immersive gameplay in most crypto games by prioritizing gameplay over complex crypto mechanics. They have raised $3 million in a pre-sale for their native Web3 token, $SWIO.

According to Cameo, the CTO of Second World Games, their main purpose in starting the company was to create great gameplay rather than focusing solely on making a profit. They assembled a professional team of game developers to ensure that their mobile game, Second World: New Age, meets the quality standards of the game industry.

Second World: New Age is a hypercasual racing game available on the App Store. The art style is inspired by Supercell’s Clash Royale. Players can build their own cities, compete with other players for rewards, and engage in real-time battles. It is a free-to-play competitive strategy game that leverages Web3 tech like Immutable zkEVM with Polygon support.

Second World Games is now introducing “Fantasy Troop,” the first fantasy league for Web3 gaming. It combines active gameplay with strategic management and is seamlessly integrated within Second World: New Era. Fantasy Troop creates a competitive fantasy sports environment where both investors and players collaborate in a dynamic system. Effective management and skilled gameplay are crucial for winning and earning rewards.

The official launch of Fantasy Troop is targeted for July, following a successful pilot launch in June. The $SWIO token, which empowers players and enhances the gaming experience, has already raised $3 million in its presale from industry leaders such as Paul Saliba, CEO of Volpex, and Koh Onozawa, CEO of Bit2Me.

Fantasy Troop allows captains to draft teams of ten skilled players who compete for $SWIO. Both players and captains share in the winnings, creating a collaborative atmosphere and passive income opportunities. Captains allocate resources to players, who then wager on battles. Strategic decisions about hiring, firing, and reallocating funds based on performance are made by captains. The game maintains fairness and competitiveness with a balanced matchmaking system.

Second World Games is based in Estonia, but most of the team members are located in Madrid. With a team of 15 people, they are dedicated to creating immersive and enjoyable gaming experiences for a broad audience in the Web3 gaming landscape.
