The journey began in 2022 when Singer introduced the Turbo Study, which featured a heavily modified 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine generating either 450 or 510 horsepower, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Despite our curiosity about the appeal of this body style, Singer’s customers have consistently shown interest, as evidenced by the commissioning of the 300th build, a Classic Study Targa, earlier this year.

On the other hand, the Flatnose model takes inspiration from the iconic Porsche 935, known for its distinctive slantnose design. In the 1980s, this car became a symbol of power and extravagance, embodying the status of a CEO or a fugitive from the law. Singer’s interpretation of the Flatnose captures the essence of this era, creating a nostalgic yet breathtaking vehicle.

Porsche’s Exclusive department produced less than 1,000 examples of the Flachbau and only 77 of the reborn 935/78. Similarly, Singer plans to produce just 25 units of the Flatnose, ensuring its rarity and desirability among collectors.

For those fortunate enough to embark on this journey, the Singer Turbo Study offers an unparalleled experience. With a starting price of at least $1 million, buyers must also provide a donor car to create a bespoke masterpiece. The limited availability of these models guarantees their status as highly sought-after and cherished automotive treasures.
