“Skywell’s Luxury Saloon, the Skyhome, Combines Chinese Architecture and Advanced Technologies”

Skywell, the Chinese EV brand, is set to launch its luxury saloon, the Skyhome, in the UK. The Skyhome is a four-seater that focuses on in-car entertainment and advanced technologies, with a design inspired by Chinese architecture. The front lighting of the car takes inspiration from the upswept roof of a Chinese pavilion, while the rear end features small LED lights inscribed with major milestones in Chinese history. The active rear spoiler, capable of extending to boost downforce, is another reference to the pavilion roof.

Inside, the Skyhome is designed to resemble a traditional Chinese courtyard. It features LED light ‘pillars’ on either side of a large infotainment and instrument touchscreen. The car also includes an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant named Xiaowei, who can assist with navigation, time management, and even financial advice. The two rear seats are accessible through rear-hinged doors and offer sliding, reclining, and massage functionalities. Tablets fitted in the front seatbacks allow for control of key functions and work meetings on the move.

The Skyhome also boasts a large television mounted to the ceiling, which can fold out to meet the rear passengers. This screen can be used for work or connected to a games console for entertainment. While technical specifications such as screen size and powertrain outputs are not yet available, Skywell has confirmed that the saloon will be offered with single-motor and dual-motor powertrains. The dual-motor option is expected to produce 617bhp and achieve a 0-62mph sprint time of 3.5 seconds.

One notable feature of the Skyhome is its fast charging capability. Skywell claims that the car can recharge 304 miles’ worth of power in just 10 minutes and can supply external devices at up to 100kW. Pricing details for the Skyhome have not yet been announced.

Overall, the Skyhome represents a blend of luxury, advanced technology, and Chinese-inspired design. With its focus on in-car entertainment and AI assistance, it aims to provide a premium and immersive driving experience. The fast charging capability and powerful dual-motor option also make it a compelling choice for those seeking high-performance electric vehicles. As Skywell enters the UK market, the Skyhome is sure to attract attention from luxury car enthusiasts and tech-savvy drivers alike.
