Style and Comfort: Discovering the Hyundai Creta’s Design and Interior

Looking for a new car that balances style and comfort? The Hyundai Creta is one model worth a look. With its sleek exterior lines and spacious, well-appointed cabin, this popular SUV aims to please you.

The Creta could be an ideal fit for those seeking an affordable vehicle that can comfortably handle weekday commutes and weekend adventures. Let’s look at what this vehicle offers inside and out.

An Overview of Hyundai Creta

The new 2024 Creta reveals Hyundai’s biggest update yet. Its competitive pricing and innovative features make it a highly anticipated arrival. The revised exterior styling features a bold, upright grille, split LED headlamps, revised skid plates and bumpers, full-width LED DRLs, and stylish new alloy wheels.

The LED tail lamps now resemble the front lighting signature. Overall, the Creta brings glamour, advanced features, and design innovation to the table—getting 2024 off to an exciting start for Hyundai. ACKO Drive offers details on the complete features of the Hyundai Creta.

Exterior Design

Hyundai gave the Creta a whole new look on the outside. From the side, it looks similar to the old model, but from the front and back, it’s really different.

It has a new rectangular grille with three metal strips across it. The headlights are neat, too. They have an LED strip that goes across, making the front look wide. The actual headlights are stacked on each other in a rectangular shape. It gives the front a boxier, more upright shape compared to the old, rounded look.

You can tell it’s a Creta from the side because of the silver trim above the windows. Hyundai kept the same tyre size except for the fanciest model, which had new 17-inch alloy wheels.

Interior and Comfort

The new Creta has a modern-looking interior that seems influenced by Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 electric vehicle. The dashboard features two linked 10.25-inch touchscreens, which give the car a high-tech feel. Cool ambient lighting is underneath the passenger-side air vents. The climate control settings are integrated into a digital touch screen in the centre console. The instrument cluster is also fully digital and customisable, showing navigation directions and safety system information.

Overall, the cabin looks way more upscale than previous Creta models. There are some nice premium touches, like heated and ventilated leather seats in the front.

Engine and Performance

The newest Creta model offers buyers three engine choices to meet different needs. First, a fuel-efficient 1.5L diesel motor puts out a solid 114 horsepower and 250 nm torque. This would be a nice pick for high-mileage drivers.

Next up is a punchier 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine at 158 horsepower. With turbo power on tap, this one promises an exciting drive.

Finally, you can opt for the 1.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder. It gives you a moderate 113 horses and 144 nm torque for solid everyday performance without the turbo complexity.

Overall, Hyundai is versatile and has multiple powertrains. Whether you want laidback cruising, high economy, or sporty acceleration for passing, the Creta has an engine to match your needs.

Ground Clearance

The new Hyundai Creta has the same ground clearance as the previous model, which is 190mm. This means there is 190mm of space between the lowest part of the car, like the exhaust and the ground.

A ground clearance of 190mm is good for a compact SUV like the Creta. It’s enough to clear speed bumps, drive over unpaved roads, and handle mild off-roading without scraping the bottom of the car.

Price of Hyundai Creta

The Hyundai Creta price in Chennai ranges from ₹13.74 lakh to ₹24.82 lakh. This variation in price depends on the specific model and the features included. The starting price gets you the basic model, which includes standard features suitable for most drivers. On the higher end, the price of ₹24.82 lakh covers the top-tier versions, which boast additional luxury and technological enhancements.

Dimensions

The new Creta is 4,330mm long, which is a decent size for an SUV in this segment. It’s not too big or too small. The width of 1,790mm gives it a nice, strong stance on the road.

At 1,635mm tall, it has good ground clearance to handle Indian roads well but not so tall that it becomes difficult to get in or out.

The 2,610mm wheelbase means there is good interior space, especially for rear seat passengers to stretch out comfortably. Overall, the dimensions make the Creta well-suited for Indian urban conditions while retaining good interior room for a family.

Safety Features:

Hyundai has equipped the Creta with some safety technologies and features, including:

  • Braking and Traction Control: The Creta has an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) to prevent skidding when braking suddenly. It also has Vehicle Stability Control and Electronic Stability Control that help maintain traction and prevent loss of control, especially when turning or on slippery roads.
  • Airbags: The Creta has 6 airbags placed strategically around the cabin to protect occupants by cushioning them on impact in a crash.
  • Child Safety: ISOFIX child seat mounts securely latch baby/child seats in place. This prevents them from tossing around in case of sudden braking or accidents.
  • Other Features: The Hill Start Assist feature prevents rollback when starting from inclines. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System alerts drivers if any tyre has low air pressure. Rear disc brakes provide efficient braking power.

The Bottom Line

The new Hyundai Creta impresses with its fresh exterior styling and tech-savvy interior. Drivers can find a good blend of power and efficiency between the engine options. With ample passenger space, updated safety features, and better ride height for Indian roads, the Creta balances practicality and comfort in an affordable package. The Creta hits a sweet spot for shoppers wanting both style and value.
