In 2022, the company took action to remove NFTs from GTAservers, citing concerns about the use of virtual currencies and cryptocurrencies.

Despite their cautious approach to UGC, Take-Two remains optimistic about the future of the gaming industry. Zelnick stated that while they see the potential benefits of UGC, they do not believe it will define their company or the industry as a whole. Take-Two is currently focused on highly anticipated releases like Grand Theft Auto VI and Civilization VII, both of which are set to launch next year.
